Guys, wanna ask, how does 0% ezypay work?

i wanna buy something for 1k, installment rm88 for 12 months. but

a) when will i be charged the rm88 every month? is there a set date?

b) assuming i buy this thing on a weekend, will i still get 5% cashback for the product? as in, 5% from 1k or 5% from first installment only (rm88)?

c) how about TP? will i get 5k TP upfront, at the end of the installments, or only for the first rm88?

You need to call CS to give green light for Paypal transaction.
For your info, AMEX's fraud cases on online transaction are very high, that's why MBB's AMEX by default is blocked on this, for your safety.

Okay, so there are way for me to pay using amex, basically I just have to call the number behind my card and request to speak with their customer service's staff to temporarily "unblock" my card for one transaction? Any other steps other than this?
*
Yes, you need to call them to "unblock", and duration from 1 day till 1 month only. 1 week should be enough as first 3 days are wasted to get the verification.

Guys, I suck in math. Just a quick question.

For RM 6k+ of spending, is it better to use AmEx or OCBC Ti 1% rebate? Take note that I have exhausted my AmEx RM 50 cash back. So, for AmEx just solely for 5xTP.

How about if I reduce to RM 3k+? AmEx or OCBC Ti?

Thanks. biggrin.gif
*
Even you spend rm60k also, still AMEX.

It's a Malaysia merchant that accepts AmEx and 5xTP. biggrin.gif

Is 2 way knife for your case. If merchant accepts AMEX, then it will be good to use AMEX. If merchant does not accept AMEX, then have to use OCBC.

Bro supersound you are right, the RM5000 is for amex spending as RM1 = 5Treatpoints
where else for Mastercard or Visa, every RM1 will earn you 1Treatpoint.

No need what, tell here openly also can.
Just use the STUPID card to buy when they are doing rm30-32 offer that comes with 200g or 300g FOC.
Then sell it back after a month or 2 at the price you bought(at the highest price).

Hi guys,

I'm holding Maybank2cards. Now I have got some number of treat points earned via using the cards going to expired end of this year. I'm thinking of either converting the treat points to air miles OR redeem shopping vouchers. I would like to know which of the 2 options is more value for money.

Thanks.
*
AeonBig rm100 cash vouchers, that's the best for your value of TPs. Others only giving rm100. And make sure you only spend on 28th each month where they are giving extra 5% discounts store wide. So it is rm110.25 actually.
And make sure you only redeem it at card centers as using postage you have to use 27000 or 27500 points.

Er. If I understand correctly, it's the GST for gold card is waived because it's already canceled . Put it here for the benefit of others. smile.gif

UPDATE 14 November 2014 - DjK of LYN shared more good news:

"Bro Gen X,

Collected my plat cards yesterday at the gardens

The CS there gave me the option to transfer the outstanding amounts from my gold cards to plat cards with no fees, which i took of course. On top of that, since my gst for my gold cards will be charged in Nov, they have even waived it for me as I cancel the gold cards on the spot. Means I get to enjoy using my gold cards for the whole 2014 without paying the RM50 GST.

You can put in a note/changes in your blog that it will be beneficial for card owners to upgrade before/on the month when their GST will be charged. MBB will waive it.

Good news indeed."
*
Update in the first page is the appropriate way, not promoting other spamming links. Quite confusing on that page as I have to search high and low but yet can't really get what I want.

bank won't tell the reason why rejected....

Slow talk with the manager and ask for the reason.
HSBC I do get the reason as I applied few times but got rejected.
But at that time I already make a promise on not to disclose the reason, nothing to do with my income(all the time applying using rm60000 net income).

Knowing the reason is for you to review before wasting time on it.
Unlike me, just test to apply again for fun even after knowing the reason:lol:

I must say the posting day for Maybank Amex is damn fast, I swipe an item at Puma, 1U on 9.45pm night (30th Nov) and was thinking most likely it will flow to Dec quota as it was late already.

Checked my M2U was pleasantly surprised that it is posted on the same day. It was good as I still have quota for Nov month for the 5% rebate. Perhaps it is using Maybank terminal.

Normally my petrol if I pump at night the posting date will be next day or after.
*
That's why this is my primary card even I burst the rm50 quota thumbup.gif
As I never bother on can get or can't get cash back when swiping it unlike other cards.
Anyway, all merchants are doing closing every night, so the transaction should be posted when the system updates. So far latest for MBB is 2 days for local while overseas take longer time, about 5 days the max.

Well explained by Victorywp, you will never know what you gonna purchase the upcoming month so it's better to free up fully your quota for the upcoming month, especially it is Dec month where there is a lot of sale and event like Christmas etc.

Hence it means I can do more Christmas shopping in month of Dec to maximise my rebate
*
If you do proper record and research, holiday promotion usually are much expensive, even after discounts. I know this very well as before CNY, I always spend rm500 for new cloths, and some even are previous year fashion but the original price up by 40-70%. So after so-called 50% discount, it is still the same doh.gif
