i'm only gold user~
but reluctant to change to platinum even thought i'm eligible due to new Government Service Tax charges for both cards.

i dont think upgrade is considered as application for new cards...

in v10, i think someone reported being able to upgrade to new card without paying the new gst rate. maybe u can call cs to clarify this.

I emailed CS about this. CS says after upgrade will be RM100.

Received a letter by poslaju from Fraud Management division regarding my unauthorized transaction detailing the guideline clearly and an enclosed dispute form. The way Maybank has been handling this matter is very exemplary. It makes the process less stressful.

Guys, just some quick doubts regarding the 5x and 5% cashback...

If i use Amex oversea during weekend, do i entitle to such cashback and 5x points?

And, If i use Paypal (linked with Amex) and make purchase online during weekend, do I entitle to the same 5x points and 5x cashbank? let's say booking hotel, buying items..etc

yeah i think MBB really smart, they benefit the most as many would spend more to get CB and nobody knows what % they'll give per transaction

yes overseas u will get 5% cb and 5x points as long is not education, insurance and goverment otherwise just 2x points.

paypal will work but it has to be in usd or other currency as myr doesn't accept with amex

for new applicant any goodies? like most of the cards they offer cash back RM50 for certain transaction or free goodies?
