QUOTE(sendohz @ Oct 15 2014, 05:15 PM) i'm only gold user~ but reluctant to change to platinum even thought i'm eligible due to new Government Service Tax charges for both cards. i dont think upgrade is considered as application for new cards... in v10, i think someone reported being able to upgrade to new card without paying the new gst rate. maybe u can call cs to clarify this.

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Oct 19 2014, 02:56 PM) surely they accept visa/master credit card, but amex wise i am not sure just go find out AFAIK, some IT related merchants are reluctant to accept cc and will force the cc charge onto customer.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 19 2014, 04:49 PM) reported back in July that ALL IT @ IPC accepted AMEX for DIY parts only. if you're at Plaza Lowyat, I've asked Jayacom that they dont impose cc surcharge and accepts AMEX too. All IT @ LYP supposedly impose surcharge, which i'm avoiding. DIY meaning?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 19 2014, 05:36 PM) should be as long as not complete system. go try ask them on CC payment T&Cs before start to shop that's what i do everytime visiting LYP. if got surcharge or not accept amex, i go in, walk around, survey price, then go to next door some might argue shops that accepts cc already included surcharge in the price, well, it's up to us to shop wisely lor. if we think the price is too high, then go to next one and next one and next one. Nola. not planning to go LYP. kinda far. might just ask the ikano branch. thanks.

QUOTE(reevephon @ Oct 20 2014, 09:08 PM) Just realized that my 2 cards were charged RM100 for the service tax. Is there any way to offset this? I'm a loyal Maybank customer. I know there is one way to offset by using treat points however I have no sufficient points to offset my service tax, kindly advice. afaik, there is no way to offset other than using points. iinm, you can pay with cash first, and few months down the line, when you have enough points, you can call them to offset the RM100 you have paid earlier with cash. i did that few years back but not sure it still works. a call to the CS will solve this.

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Oct 20 2014, 11:01 PM) About the 10am Cashback promo, is it RM300 per cardmember for the whole campaign period? Or we have the chance to get RM300 everyday in the campaign? The TnCs seems to be vague... how is it vague, i'm not sure... 4.1 Eligible Cardmembers are entitled up to 100% Cashback on their “Qualifying Spend”, subject to a maximum of RM300 per Eligible Cardmember per day from 10AM until 10PM on first-come, first-served basis and subject to a total of RM25,000 per day during the Campaign Period, whichever comes first (“Successful Cardmembers”).This post has been edited by janson_kaniaz: Oct 21 2014, 08:09 AM

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Oct 21 2014, 10:50 AM) I guess I find it hard to believe that Maybank can be so generous. 😆 not about generosity. they have quota, as long as quota is met, everyone is happy...

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Oct 21 2014, 08:47 AM) That 10Am challenge, i assume the time refers to transaction time as shown in MBB receipt page right? how have you guys been doing? My attempts so far 1)4.10.14 RM260.15 -10:01:44 2)5.10.14 RM150.55 -10:00:05 3)6.10.14 RM321.50 -10:00:03 4)11.10.14 RM254.80 - 10:00:03 5)12.10.14 RM38.45 - 10:00:03 6)19.10.14 RM356.70 - 10:00:02 i dont have the gut like u to risk all attempts at one time. i spread out my spending to 1001-1005, just in case the difference in maybank timing makes a difference.

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Oct 21 2014, 11:52 AM) If they cap RM300 per cardmember for the whole campaign, more people will be happy, since more people will have a chance of getting it. That was what on my mind. But I am not complaining though. Milking it everyday that would mean they cannot control how much budget to allocate per day or the entire campaign. first come first served is still the best.

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Oct 21 2014, 11:52 AM) As for the time, I sync my computer clock to time.nist.gov through the settings. I see that my Astro decoder also follows this time to the second. So it's a good baseline to get 10am on the dot to me, it's a risky thing u have to take because you won't know the basis of their timing until the campaign is over. if there's a trial and error thing now that would be good so everyone can know the exact time.

QUOTE(Without @ Oct 22 2014, 11:40 AM) Anyone experiencing transaction decline when trying to make payment online? I tried overseas payment channel and local payment channel seems all fail. Yesterday 9pm physical payment also fail. i think maybankards in general and amex in particular are now very vigilant when it comes to online purchase. most of the times i have to call maybank CS because my initial payment is always declined. they only open the particular merchant for 24hrs for your online purchase before they close it again.

The transaction time should be follow Malaysia time or US local time? my online transaction follows US local time, ie i still managed to get the rebate even though i bought the item on Monday morning.

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 28 2014, 12:31 PM) I also seldom buy at Jusco, since their stuffs never been cheap. QUOTE(David83 @ Oct 28 2014, 01:08 PM) I agreed but still a lot of people like to shop at AEON. believe it or not, some of the items sold in Aeon during promo can be cheaper than items from Tesco/Giant during promo.
