This is the reason maybank didn't approved your application. You must have commitment atleast car loan for them to trace your payment record. Im told personally by maybank staff if you literally don't have any commitment, it's hard for them to approved. Not because of your income.
*
During my application for OCBC titanium, it was my first job and i worked like 6 months prior to the application.
I applied for it and the CS kept asking me about my company profile and etc.
I have zero commitment as well because i just started work, no car loan no house loan, no easypay installment.
Anyway what i did was i called the CS constantly asking why the approval process takes such a long time and i kind of raise up my voice saying if you keep delaying the approval i might as well look for another card.
Then the next day i got SMS stating approved.

Therefore, not necessarily zero commitment will deny the card approval.

Not necessarily but it could be the reason tho. Im not sure bout other card, i just applied maybank 2 card gold on Oct and the maybank guy concern more on my commitment rather than my income.

Luckily i have car loan with maybank also so within a week my card approved.
*
I applied for Mbb2 CC after a year working (6 months after my OCBC platinum approved).
Same condition, no commitment or whatsoever.
And i got it on the same day because i applied on maybank treats point fair.

you already have commitment since you already owned a cc from OCBC..
they could see your CCRIS..that why more easily for approval..
*
I see. Thanks.
Will venture into the CCRIS thingy when i have time.
I saw some info posted about this requesting loan form smile.gif

Have you tried before? If you don't, then I suggest you just keep quiet.
Don't try to troll here. Don't think I don't know what kind of attitude you have bought to this section. If you keep going around with this tone, I'll just give you few days to cool off.

It's wise to just ignore him.
If not it will start another hate chain and it would not be beneficial to the forum reader.
Plus i would label him as attention seeker rather than keyboard warrior.

He will start with his ranting on 'group insulting' and many many more.

So in nutshell, ignore him (that's what he suggested to me along ago and i of course obliged to his 'WISE' advise)

The news reported by cybpsych says "TAC is no longer required"...
*
It would be beneficial when one is overseas and they need to make payment.
I've done that and when i receive the OTP/TAC via sms, i got charged RM1.00 for each SMS or TAC sent to me.

well, you still will receive notification if any transaction happen on M2U.
why you been charged for RM1 for each SMS or TAC?
i always reveive promotion SMS and request TAC sometime when I am in oversea, no charge at all
*
I have no idea at all. It was written as Data charges.
But i am sure i disable 3G connection and just relying on maxis network itself to receive the OTP.
Two TAC/OTP and i was charged RM2.00 in the statement, written data charges with 2 quantity.

Security always come with a price tag (monies, times, inconveniences)... it is the "balance" that we are all aiming for. Guess different people has different security tolerance level. icon_rolleyes.gif
Same with my oversea experiences, calls will be charged (in and out), sms out is chargeable, sms in is free.

OT: like what fruitie said, one does not get charged for receiving sms. it has to be something else.
*
I tracked back on the date and it was the date i was paying for maxis postpaid bill via maxis easypay.
Using HLB wise and two OTP sent to me via sms.

So i'm not sure if it is something else.

Could it be MMS?
MMS may incur data charges for it to download the rich content while you are abroad.
*
Well i'm sure for myself that is the OTP code for my maxis payment.
And i always disable data roaming and mobile data whenever i'm oversea.
So there will be no data charges, anyway i didn't call in to further question maxis.
Lesson learnt, pay all bill before going oversea. biggrin.gif

Yup... this is correct. I also always do transaction overseas with maybank and never once there is such charges.
If it is a data plan charges, they will put down the amount in kilobytes that you use
*
Ya in the statement only state data charges while i didn't activate any mobile data at all.
Of course there is no number stated for the SMS anywhere since it's categorize as data charges.
As you see from the attachment, its written SMS in data form.

I off data roaming and mobile data, how the heck there is data charges.
Anyway i'm sharing because i got charged while making payment receiving the OTP.
