Dont. VIC still only has level 3 water restrictions. Here in QLD we're heading to level 6, despite a nice rain last night and this morning, which is perdicted to go on until Thurs.

How are things in Perth, water-wise?
*
lol. perth no water quota, even "so-call" only. water bill here so cheap plus everything you want is cheaper than southern parts

perth doesnt rain alot because this place is desert - modern desert

u got wrong..alot immigrant coming in to melb rather than perth
alot of them come here increase the population
and water consumption also go up
and melb watr suppose to be in stage 4
but they create stage 3 a b c
so it is like wanna make people keep using till it is finish
the reason why perth..
there is disinclination plant there
so anytime u can just not worry about water usage
here melb summore is increasing in cost of living
so why not perth who is stilll growing but alrdy reach it peak and going?
the rain wont fill the catchment over night ~
*
you mean desalination plant right?

queensland government is building one right now close to gold coast.

anyway, i'm okay with the level 5 restrictions over here now. just hope that it stays that way after all this rain instead of going up to level 6 sweat.gif

it depends, if you never work or something, it is hard to cover your expenses
gradually place like melb is having increase in its cost of living
public transport increase, food increase, rent increase
for starting it is not enough to cover
*
let say u work max 20 hours per week , how much can be covered? rent and food? is that possible? in unsw sdyney.

sydney and melbourne both diferent case, in melb you still can cover the rent and food
if you got more than 9 dollar per hr job and sharing.
if you are in sydney, it is different because cost of living is higher so as expenses, try to ask those in sydney smile.gif

Depends on what job you got. Some fast food outlets give $14-17 per hour and still you could hardly cover your rent. It depends on how much you spend, if you eat out everyday, for sure you gonna broke very quickly. Btw, it's hard to get a job that could let you work up to 20 hours per week. Mostly around 5-12 hours.
