Ron95 can use for CX-5, best is to send back to SC

OK thanks, my CX-5 2.0 is even more sluggish to pick up now, since day one the pick up is already so so only, now driving for over 2600KM only, going slightly uphill is like driving a 10 year-old car, somemore got 'tak tak' engine sound already. Hopefully the engine is fine, will go to SC to check soon. Now I seriously missed my previous 2.0 sedan car with good pick up and acceleration, haha... anyway, have to get used to it as CX-5 is a heavy SUV, cannot expect much from the 2.0 engine...

Use Ron 97, you can feel the difference compare with Ron 95.

OK thanks, my fuel consumption is just so so, normally 420-450KM per 45litre, but it was mostly city drive in KL/PJ with traffic jam for me, maybe due to poor pick up with using RON 95, cannot get over 10KM/L even with gentle driving style with light foot.

Using Ron 97 would give better pickup, how about the mileage, more power more fuel consumption or more power less fuel consumption ?

Personally, I feel Caltex better for performance and Petronas good for fuel saver. smile.gif

Anyone still into voltage stabilizer? I am considering to source for Pivot Mega Raizin for my CX5 considering it may help on i-Stop.

After I done retint my cx5, seem like my windscreen edge left with lots of white greyish stain.....my coating and tint shop did tried to clean it but cant remove.... looks to be me like old tint left over but tint shop insist say it might be the old tint glue that soak into the edge of the glass matte surface...

Can any of u try to zoom n snap the same area as my pic on ur CX5? Wanna show it to my tint shop......Need some light to shine on it or flash...else can't get the pic like mine.....

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Appreciate if any one able to get a clear picture which can see the edge surface (similar to my sample) with your new tint or exiting skytint....

Thx

For me yes haha for TSP...total surface protect include exterior body paint, headlight, Rims, windscreen, site/back windows, internal dashboard, leather, plastic etc.....

My current CX5 is Gtechniq (UK) Crystal Serum 7 years Warranty Coating while previous Altis was Gtechniq 5 years Warranty Coating....

Coating help to seal up the polish by provided better bonding effect plus make the paint much stronger....additonal to just shinning like polish, good coating come with water repellent effects (hydrophobic).....once coated then surface will be resistance to sturborn dirt even bird drops....all can be easily wipe off by using wet tissue/towel plus muddy or dust can be flush out even just normal water....

Basically coating not just to achieve shinning as if shinning then normal polish will do too.....coating more to provide long lasting shinning, original paint protect, water/rain will be blow away easily, easy wash etc...plus normally more stronger to abrasion compare to none coated car.....of cause it still cant protect against stone chip especially during HW high speed driving...if stone chip then need Protector Film which might cost 5-6k for entire car....

At least few years no need to go for polish or wax...just normal wash will do......
International well known brand of coating like Gtechniq, Gzox, Sierra Glow etc with 3 to 7 years Warranty (depend on types) and TSP (in & out) will cost between ~2k to 3k plus...if only exterior body paint then will be cheaper...if prefer more budget cost then may go for more local or common brand...

This is my CX5 with Gtechniq (UK) Coating...

I finally tried 2 tanks of Petron RON 97, previously used Petron Ron 95. I did feel little difference to no for pick up, i felt slightly better for acceleration. I already grounded the engine bay with few good and thick grounding cables, the acceleration seemed better but hard to feel improvement on the pickup responsiveness.

I found out that my CX-5 did well in the morning in term of response and pick up, however after I get stuck in the traffic jam for over 1 hour, the engine would generate 'tak tak tak' tapping sound once in a while. Every time when I heard this 'tak tak tak' engine noise, the car became under power and sluggish. Went to the Mazda SC to check in the morning, was unable to simulate the engine sound as it was smooth and responsive in the morning. I thought it was due to RON 95, but when I tried RON 97, there is no difference.
Hope the next visit would be able to show the SC what engine sound I heard.

Hi, I also wanted to transfer my previous Qmax voltage stabilizer to my CX-5 but I was told that the CX-5 has many sensors even at the battery and alternator, thus not advisable to attach voltage stabilizer to the battery.
Not sure how true is that ?

Anyone who has installed voltage stabilizer and also grounding the alternator could share the thought ?

Thank you very much for ur kind sharing.

Am in dilemma due to the routine routes i use to go work a mixture of mostly country side roads with big lorries frequently on road & partly highway.. Chip stones very common & causes my current car fws break for few times.. That's why still undecided to do coating or not on new ride CX-5..

Understand that there are another better protector film to handle chip stones.. However, the expenses really out of my budget currently..
