Dear all sifus & CX5 owners,

Would like to know what type of additional security method use for CX5?

So far noted there are 2 types that some owners mentioned:
1) Pedal lock
2) Viper Alarm

Please help to advise which type & brand most recommended for CX5 FL..

Thank you very very much in advance..

I still prefer the traditional method - steering wheel lock. Let the thiefs see what is waiting for them and hopefully can deflect the risk.

That what been told also.. Any mechanical lock (steering lock or pedal lock) can easily open by professional within seconds..

But then even the high tech alarm system might also risky coz professional have the way to hack & open the alarm..

Therefore really needs all sifus & owners share your experience which type of method use for your CX5.. Steering lock, pedal lock or Viper alarm??

Will be really appreciates for all kind advise.. Thank you..

Honestly no matter what you install also gone case if they really target ur car hehehe...even high end BMV/Merc also kena easily...viper alarm worry will void warranty (need to double confirm) n quite pricy....double pedal lock is good since quite diff to force open/cut at the bottom there plus reasonable price...

HRV no way close to CX5 in term of handling....tested my sis HRV and no no. On top of handling, I believe CX5 win in term of FC, boot space, size too but lost for the additional 20k (2.0L FL HS) of price heheh....pick up leh hard to say as Skyactive 2.0L tends to be lagging a bit due to the fuel saver nature but 2.5L zoom zoom hehe feel like normal sedan car...

What do you think of the service price between the 2? Also what is the big difference between FL and non FL? I feel the FL doesn't worth that much hmm

Honda no free service for 3 yrs while Maxda have it for Semi-Synthetic oil.

FL much nicer with new LED light, DRL, centre console with turnstile commander, nicer front grill, white color dashboard light for a/c, new dashboard bar color, new entertainment player (allow manual install android auto) etc. Personally it looks for elegant and nicer then none FL.

Thx
