Spare parts and service - poorer in my area. To me, the useless i-stop and more expensive battery. 2. Resale value. The bigger issue is, I wanted the 2.5 but hated the 19" rim. QUOTE(chuah_ph @ Aug 30 2016, 12:27 PM) Ohh get it maybe sound proof issue hehe.....ya CX5 2.0 tends to be a bit sluggy during pick up n require more high rev for more strong accelerate...was told this is Skyactive nature for save petrol if want powerful pick up then 2.5L hahaha!! I think got share skyactive engine info before including the engine hp/torque graft, due to skyactive engine is high compression engine it have to sacrifice low end torque to gain better hp and efficiency. That why Skyactive front end power is sluggish, once you off the 2000rpm mark above the engine is free revving.. The engine is design to save petrol in the first place, but regarding this low end torque is the only weakness of this engine. http://www.automobile-catalog.com/curve/20...65_i-eloop.htmlYou can view the skyactive dyno graft in it.. at 1000rpm is just around 100nm compare to conventional 4 cylinder engine (Sample below Boxer) the torque at low RPM like 1000rpm already got 150nm of torque.. Skyactive engine need to rev high for better power delivery, that why it is more suitable for highway cruising due to higher peak power.. http://www.subaru.asia/pages/vehicles/fore...e/pix03_20i.gifThis post has been edited by littlefire: Aug 30 2016, 06:02 PM

Spare emm ok Mazda tends to be more exp and Service ...agree T n H much better hhaha as I was T drivers for pass 10 years....this depend on how M can improve it further hehe 2. Resale in Msia only 2 brand T n H haha sure win....but CX5 consider 1 of the highest resale if look at mudah/carlist etc.... again T n H not really high RV if you sell it in less than 2 years ahha!! Again if you wish for driving exp then skip RV requirement as lots of good T n H SUV never bring in to Msia market heheh.... This post has been edited by chuah_ph: Aug 30 2016, 12:09 PM

If wish for best pick then Skyactive-D 2.2L Turbo hahaha So long this CX5 thread never been so hot on reply hahaha even just few of us hhaha make it alive again.. for more knowledge sharing.....is ok if more details on others brand which better then CX5 to be share here... anyhow this thread still serve the purposes to let new buyer get more details plus old users get more help or support hahaha This post has been edited by chuah_ph: Aug 30 2016, 12:14 PM

Close to book a CX-5 GL .... didn't want X-Trail as father in law already have it. No doubt CVT feels smooth in X-Trail but for overall ride, Mazda still better.

Hi CX-5 2.0 owners, I just found my CX-5 2.0 started to develop engine knocking sound like 'tak tak tak' even after driving for 2500KM only, when I tried to pedal now it is like lack of power and I could hear some "tak tak tak" sound from the engine. My previous car could only hear this kind of sound after driving for over 100K KM. Is this due to using RON 95, or CX-5 must use RON 97 ? So far have not used RON 97 yet, should I switch to RON 97 ? Or it is the Shell Semi Synthetic which is not that good for our engine ?
After the first service at 1000KM, it has been running nicely and smoothly until 2500KM now started to hear that sound.
Should I send it back to SC to check ?
