Dark Blue is the bomb ! Just that its contrast with dirt and dust hence you’d spend more time wiping ur car. Depens on ur OCD lvl

Discovered this chip and dent (1.5 cm diameter) at the driver's door this morning, caused by a phantom car while parking and just a few hours before my trip to Ceramic Pro. Two-week old car's first ding.

Wife has been very patient with my mood the entire morning smile.gif

The CP guys explained that it is feasible to proceed with coating on the panel to prevent rust. At anytime, to come back for re-coat after deciding to fix the door. As long it is within the warranty period, re-coat is FOC.

It is expected for Mazda to charge a bomb for the fix and respray. Anyone has positive experience with workshops that can match the original DC Blue colour?

Update: The 'chip' is gone! Apparently, damage was only done to the lacquer surface, so polishing it removed the perception of a chip. I can only see a slight dent, which is totally acceptable to me. No photos could capture this, as it is now only visible to the naked eye 🙏🏻

woah...another one 'casualty'
Sorry to hear that bro.

I think you can consider change the color if one day you going to respray the whole car. I think those 3rd party car painting shop provide better quality than Bermaz..

A friend mentioned that Dent Repair Malaysia can fix it. I've heard of places like that but never bothered with the previous car. The size of the damage is like a huge dried nose booger, so I hope they can cover it up seamlessly by whatever tech they have.

Thanks!

Hmm...not sure how they repair that with, they wrote No painting, No cement on their website.

I think just knock the dent only right?

But our stone chip issue is more critical than dent... brows.gif

the vtec soul is missing now.  doh.gif
The rev limiter limit at 6.5k for civic/crv turbo while the old B16A engine B20A have the vtec kick in way after that.

IKR.. doh.gif To the missus and I, test driving the CRV was pretty much a soulless experience and since we didn't need the strong practicality.. We went with our hearts. I can understand why most would get the CRV instead. It's a great package. Just not for us.

Sorry man & kudos to understanding wife.. console.gif.. I advise to leave as is and proceed with the coating. It hurts now, but you'll get over it say next year.. smile.gif.. Though, now I'm anxious about where I left the car.. Parked and someone else parked immediately (too close for comfort) beside me. Seemed like a nice fella cuz I asked if I should move closer to the wall to give more space, but he says nvm.. All good. Fingers crossed.. sweat.gif

Part and parcel of city driving as I shared... no, predicted, in my previous post!

But need to make a correction - it won't rust due to undercoat. Yes, proceeding to coat since the panel can be redone the next time when I accumulate more dings. Other cars should fear the ones with more scars smile.gif

First cut is the deepest yeah! Btw, to other guys out there, the anger/disbelief/acceptance process took 3 hours and 10 minutes. May be useful to know!

I didn't do the car coating, since I have already spent an amount of money to change and removed all the original tint to the 3M crystalline tint (front, windows, rear), think that the tint is a more important factor personally for me compared to the coating, have to spend my money more wisely since I am on tight budget too. sad.gif

Since I didn't opt for the coating, guess I have to be more hardworking to wash the car regularly and occasionally waxing to make up for it.

Honestly no regret on your invest of 3M crystalline. My cars were tinted with it and the performance is still good after 5 years.

Saw a post in CX5 Facebook Group. Apparently the Raytech safety tint does not do much against break in. Windows still shattered into pieces.

Our car does not come with car alarm?

No alarm from break-in or such.
If install 3rd-party alarm system will surely involved wire tapping and affect the warranty.

Pasang at your own risk.

The SC might close one eye at their discretion.
If they want to void the warranty, maybe only on the electronic as the stock wiring already been tampered
