The problem with Suicide Squad is that it has plot holes so large that the Titanic could navigate through them. I mean, it was as if no one bothered to vet through the story and rushed it through production.

Having Will Smith was a nice touch and he really did bring some character to Deadshot and Margot Robbie was fine as Harley Quinn. Just too bad the executives at WB didn't really know what to do with them.
So here are some plot holes that really bothered me and broke the whole story:

David Ayer has only 6 weeks to write.... It shows I suppose.... though 1, 2 & 3 is minor and could easily be explained or (more accurately) no need for explanations...

The executives at WB, I believe caused more problems...

I enjoyed most of it. Sure it has some issues but not as big as to deter me from enjoying what it is.

Pros:
- Music is awesome!
- Deadshot and Harley Quinn, hands down, two of the best characters and most developed. Can't hold my laughter in every single Harley scene, she kills it with a different kind of badassery, especially when she's just armed with a baseball bat laugh.gif Didn't know Diablo can pull that at the end. He surprised me. I've no problem with Jared Leto's Joker, love all his scenes with Harley. They make such an insane dysfunctional couple it's just pure fun to watch.
-Visual is great.

As for the cons:
- Character introduction is obviously rushed but I can understand since there are a lot to cover and not enough time. Besides Deadshot and Harley, I don't really care about the rest.
- Some editing issues but not as jumpy as BvS.
-Action sequences and plot are mediocre

Overall 7/10.

Sorry for the late reply. So far the general audiences and fanboys that I know kinda enjoyed the movie so maybe you all might like it more than me? haha

It's not really Jared Leto's performance's fault. I would blame Ayer's horrid writing and direction.

I'm just a fan who appreciates movies, good, entertainment. When DC churned dark knight, it set the bar much higher. I think marvel and other movies suited up and took the challenge, and did quite recommendably.

DC without Nolan at the directors chair thought it was a walk in the park stumbled. Lots of excuses were there to defend. I don't know. I see it and tell it as is.

Get this, I DO like (chris) Nolan & his bro Jonathan Nolan (credited for terminator4, of which I enjoy the 'darker/gloomier holocast)

I'm ok way with MOS, I didn't find BvS made up to mark. Everyone then accuses those that dislike BvS are marvel fan boys and anti DC. wtH

Anyway, I tried avoiding spoilers, but today's day & age, it's everywhere. Can't hide nor ignore. From my understanding from being bombarded from sites on FB, it's a editing mess.

I yet to catch it and there are rumours of finger pointing. Whose to blame or are they migrating & shifting the mess to conspiracy of marvel fan boys doing of malicious writing anti DC ratings to rotten tomatoes & whatever film sites???

Don't think I want to be grouped in to "fan boys circles". Daredevil movie (not a fan), green lantern movie (hell no), FF (passed all of them).

Otherwise I believe I've caught majority of such coming book hero made to movie. (I think)

It's a decent movie. I don't get what's the fuss about the movie editing campaign.

The cast of new anti-hero movie "Suicide Squad" defended the film on Wednesday from scathing reviews, saying it was for the fans to decide if it does justice to the DC Comics characters it is based on.

"The critics have been absolutely horrific, they're really, really horrible. You know, I just don't think they like superhero movies," Cara Delevingne, who plays the Enchantress, told Reuters at the film's London premiere.

Delevingne added that while "this movie isn't perfect," it was made for the fans.

"Suicide Squad," out in theaters on Friday, follows a rogue group of anti-heroes with special powers - Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Boomerang, Killer Croc and El Diablo - who are held hostage by Gotham's government to use as weapons to protect the city.

Many critics have panned the film, with Richard Lawson of Vanity Fair calling it "too shoddy and forgettable to even register as revolting." The film has a 31 percent rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.

Will Smith, who plays Deadshot, commended the film's writer-director David Ayer for weaving together the stories of 10 characters and setting up a new world within Warner Bros.' expanding cinematic superhero universe.

"I think people had expectations that may have been different, but I'm excited for the fans to get to vote," Smith said.

Ayer added, "I made the movie for real people who live in the real world. I made the movie for people who actually love movies and go and see movies."

At the European premiere in London's Leicester Square, Jay Hernandez, who play's pyromaniac El Diablo, had the most to say about the critical backlash, as well as claims Harley Quinn is 'objectified' in the film.

Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: "Yeah I am bothered about it, I think it sucks, obviously we worked hard and tried to give the fans what they wanted. It's weird that some of the criticism I heard was that it was 'too much like a comic book', in terms of you have these characters being objectified like Harley Quinn, there are just certain elements that are just part of being a comic book."

He continued: "If you're trying to portray that on a film, you have to stay true to that, because if you don't, the fans of the comics are going to be offended."

The Suicide Squad's leader Rick Flag, played by House of Cards' Joel Kinnaman, felt the film was really for the fans.

He said: "You know, of course you want critical acclaim, of course, but what matters is what the fans think. We're really proud of this film, we loved making it, everybody on the film has become really close friends and this is like a work of love and I hope the fans like it."

Meanwhile, Karen Fukuhara, who plays ninja assassin Katana, managed to stay very on-message and explained that the team "honestly made it for the hardcore DC fans".

Just got back from the movie, noticed 2 scenes 1 scene was not in the film seen in the trailers.

Scene where Harley smashes the window of a shop and steals a purse.

The Joker replies to the thug, "I can't wait to show you my toys."

Nothing important here, run along.

So obvious some people already made their mind up they going to hate the movie b4 even seeing it.

To complain that some other characters didn't get more screen time is ridiculous. Do you really want to see 10 minutes of killer cros back story???

I really enjoyed this film and it really piss me off that many people are bad mouthing it bcs of their loyalty to marvel....

i hate people always make comparison between DC and MARVEL.

cmon la...both studios have their own way to make the film.

if DC follow the footsteps of Marvel, people complain they copy already.

this

and why the hell national guard that was deployed didt bring in tanks?

if some puny explosives can defeat the trans-dimensional being i bet tanks would do the job

i mean they sent warplanes and humvees instead of tanks ?(as seen from the wreckage)

i understand that they cant send some destructive bombers to run the entire area flat because amanda waller was still in the vicinity of the conflict zone but they could instead send in tanks , they dont even need bunch of "rag tags psychotic criminals" for the extraction mission

and dont u find it funny that enchantress has instantaneous blink/teleport yet instead of instantly teleport n stab or slit the throat of the enemies she choose to blink and cross sword ? wtf?

and its ridiculous that when the trans dimensional being fight against the military or civilizians he would immediately wiped them with his attack ability and yet when face against normal human like harley quinn and co he choose to just toss them around or smack them around lol, if they want a more intense fight they either should buff the characters or nerf the trans dimensional being

Just watch the movie at wangsa walk. Very enjoyable, fun funny in several scenes. Drama is quite light, not to heavy, not too complicated. Like reading issues of dc comics.

I hope they proceed with the dc plan movies. I watch it, i kind of want something different than marvel. Rest from marvel for a moment Huhuhu. Marvel style or scenes is kind of tepu already..
