QUOTE(Ichighost @ Apr 11 2016, 12:07 PM) DCE suicide squad looks very promising. hope it helps bring some kudos back to its camp after BvS at the moment Jared Leto's Joker bares hallmarks of Jack Nicholson's version of Joker (mannerism & the way Joker talks) based on this trailer. Still early to judge but i'm sure Jared will add more to the lunacy of the Joker but its certainly looks FUN looks to me the suicide squad may be hired to do a job (capture Joker?) and got recruited by Joker and thats where Batman comes in? maybe.. Suicide Squad gets a pG-13 rating for release.
No, what ! What, why? Wft đŁ Unreal đ QUOTE However, it's now official that Warner Bros. is aiming for a PG-13 rating with the 2016 blockbuster. When asked whether there had ever been consideration to go after an R rating for Suicide Squad, producer Charles Roven told Collider that it's always been planned as PG-13 so that it can fit with the other DC movies. Guess we have to live with Warner bro decision. http://www.cinemablend.com/m/new/Why-Suici...ting-94037.html |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Aug 3 2016, 12:25 PM) Critics loved everything about nolans dark knight. All 3 of them. So it's isn't all hate. I haven't watch it yet. I will not read any reviews though I have my reservations of SS trailers. Esp the latest ones- it comes across too animated. Though I never prejudge base on trailers. |

QUOTE(tonYe @ Aug 3 2016, 05:23 PM) Both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman were forgivable and enjoyable to me, but not this one. The worst DC Extended Universe film to date. Damn you. You already caught it? đ¶And this is your take?? The worst DC Extended Universe film to date. Sheesh. There were soooo much going for it. |

QUOTE(tonYe @ Aug 5 2016, 02:21 AM) Sorry for the late reply. So far the general audiences and fanboys that I know kinda enjoyed the movie so maybe you all might like it more than me? haha I'm just a fan who appreciates movies, good, entertainment. When DC churned dark knight, it set the bar much higher. I think marvel and other movies suited up and took the challenge, and did quite recommendably. It's not really Jared Leto's performance's fault. I would blame Ayer's horrid writing and direction. DC without Nolan at the directors chair thought it was a walk in the park stumbled. Lots of excuses were there to defend. I don't know. I see it and tell it as is. Get this, I DO like (chris) Nolan & his bro Jonathan Nolan (credited for terminator4, of which I enjoy the 'darker/gloomier holocast) I'm ok way with MOS, I didn't find BvS made up to mark. Everyone then accuses those that dislike BvS are marvel fan boys and anti DC. wtH Anyway, I tried avoiding spoilers, but today's day & age, it's everywhere. Can't hide nor ignore. From my understanding from being bombarded from sites on FB, it's a editing mess. I yet to catch it and there are rumours of finger pointing. Whose to blame or are they migrating & shifting the mess to conspiracy of marvel fan boys doing of malicious writing anti DC ratings to rotten tomatoes & whatever film sites??? Don't think I want to be grouped in to "fan boys circles". Daredevil movie (not a fan), green lantern movie (hell no), FF (passed all of them). Otherwise I believe I've caught majority of such coming book hero made to movie. (I think) |

QUOTE(GameFr3ak @ Aug 12 2016, 09:46 AM) sound effect was bad Warner studio had it coming action was bad most lines were bad a lot of characters were very forgettable TERRIBLE PLOT I tried to enjoy the ride... but boy oh boy.. they made it hard as hell... http://www.aggressivecomix.com/open-letter...ives-hits-hard/ QUOTE Warner Bros is the flag ship to DC Comics and the DC Cinematic Universe as many of you know. The field has been split in terms of peopleâs reactions and feelings on EVERY DC property that has been released since Man of Steel. With the past films coming out and getting the love hate they have been getting it is no surpise that some are getting truly upset. The following is an open letter to Warner Brothers Exec. from a former employee hoping that Warner Bros. will one day return to the great company it once was. An Open Letter To Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara About Layoffs, Zack Snyder, and Donuts When I left my screening of Suicide Squad last week, I was angry. I was annoyed and let down and frustrated as well, but mostly I was just angry. Look, Iâm a big dork. So of course I thought this trainwreck of a movie did a major disservice to the characters, concept, cast, and crew, but that wasnât why I was mad. Yes, it is unfathomable to me that Warner Bros could mess up a movie starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and The Joker so completely. But that just had me flummoxed. I was angry because I couldnât stop thinking about you, Kevin Tsujihara. A lot of fans might be angry (and rightfully so) because you keep completely whiffing at properties that they are desperate to love and enjoy, but this is a little more personal for me. See, I am a former Warner Bros employee. I have so much respect for your studio. I love every square inch of that magical backlot, from Stars Hollow to the fitness center I always meant to use. The people I worked with during my time with your company are now close friends. On my last day, I hugged them and I told them I loved them. I was also there in 2014, when you made the decision to lay off 10 percent of your workforce. It was a terrible year. Let me catch you up: Every morning I woke up with a pit in my stomach, because I assumed that would be the day I lost my job. Every day I saw someone packing up their desk, or carrying a box to their car. I can not describe to you the relief I felt when my department was told we were safe, or the guilt I felt afterwards walking through the halls of my office with that relief. But out of all that, the thing that really sticks with me is the memo you sent to all of us. Let me refresh you on my favorite part: I wanted you to hear directly from me about our plans for the studio. In recent days, we have started to hear rumors here at the company and to read misinformation in the press, so Iâd like to set the record straight. I know that the hard work and dedication of every employee around the world is the key to Warner Bros.â success, and I am sorry for the distraction this situation brings to the workplace. At Warner Bros., we work with the worldâs most extraordinary storytellers, and our focus has always been to provide the creative environment and financial resources they need to realize their vision. Our commitment to that wonât change. In fact, weâre investing more than ever in our film and television productions. This is how you opened a memo about layoffs. âHey guys, we work hard for the people telling stories here and we want to make sure those visions are realized.â The balls on you. That year we pursued the storytelling vision of Adam Sandlerâs Blended and Clint Eastwoodâs Jersey Boys. Failures. We pursued a potentially great summer movie like Edge of Tomorrow and completely botched its release. Same with Man From UNCLE. We dug in our heels and hoped The Hobbit Trilogy would somehow stop being a mediocre case of diminishing returns. Talented, loyal people packed their boxes and went home while your story tellers dropped the ball. One could argue that this was not your fault. That you inherited former CEO Barry Meyerâs agenda and were merely trying to correct the course of an ocean liner heading for an iceberg. I would not make this argument. And hereâs why: I wrote this letter last year. I actually started forming it in my head after Man of Steel was a box office failure instead of the modern classic tentpole you were expecting. I kept holding off on doing anything with it because of one title: Suicide Squad. Zack Snyderâs Dawn of Justice was a fiasco, but here comes this plucky little dark adventure about antiheroes. I love David Ayer. I love Harley Quinn. I love Will Smith. Put the letter in a drawer. The ship isnât sinking anymore. Everything is fine. Thereâs no way this movie is bad. And here we are. I got back from my screening and dusted this sucker off. You, your executive team, and the vision of your âextraordinary storytellersâ that resulted in the loss of around one thousand jobs seem intent on crashing the ship into as much shit as you can find in the ocean by making inane decisions over and over again. Zack Snyder is not delivering. Is he being punished? Assistants who were doing fantastic work certainly were. People in finance and in marketing and in IT. They had no say in a movie calledBatman V Superman only having 8 minutes of Batman fighting Superman in it, that ends because their moms have the same name. Snyder is a producer on every DC movie. He is still directing Justice League. He is being rewarded with more opportunity to get more people laid off. Iâm assuming you yourself havenât been financially affected in any real way. You and your studio are the biggest lesson about life one can learn: The top screws up and the bottom suffers. Peter Jackson phones it in and a marketing supervisor has to figure out a plan B for house payments. Your uneven Hall H presentation at Comic Con this year was a ridiculous mess that ranged from rushed to boring. When Marvel announced their full slate of films with a fun fan event several years ago, you announced yours on a shareholder conference call. You just donât get it. And itâs not just DC movies, itâs your whole slate. Jupiter Ascending. Get Hard. Hot Pursuit. Max. Vacation. Pan. Point Break. Fucking PAN, you jerk. People lost their jobs and you decided Pan was a good idea. You think another Jungle Book is a good idea. What are you even doing? I wish to God you were forced to live out of a car until you made a #1 movie of the year. Maybe Wonder Woman wouldnât be such a mess. Donât try to hide behind the great trailer. People inside are already confirming itâs another mess. It is almost impressive how you keep rewarding the same producers and executives for making the same mistakes, over and over. If I worked at a donut stand, and I kept fucking up donuts, Iâd be fired. Even if I made a tiny decent one every now and then, it doesnât matter. Iâm gonna get fired. I love that studio, and youâre allowing it to sink. Itâs not about making movies for âthe fansâ and not âthe critics.â Itâs not even about âruining childhoods.â Itâs about protecting livelihoods. Itâs time to wake up and make the fucking donuts, Kevin. |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Aug 17 2016, 10:36 AM) Jared Leto: I Was Tricked Into Being Part of Something Pitched Differently That's wicked..http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/08/16/jok...o-suicide-squad ![]() If the rant is true, we might have the shortest 'joker' tenure. (If Warner Studio suits acts on it) Even Leto isn't happy. should the the finger pointing continue or should supporters continue to defend for what was a messy effort (& rudderless) that was dished out. It has nothing to do with playing catching up. It sad, true DC comics fans all lashed out the continued debacle that's been dished out, it doesn't justify the richness of materials that has graced both the pulp comics and the animated series. |

QUOTE(happyking4ever @ Aug 17 2016, 01:12 PM) When someone said Edge of Tomorrow and Man of Steel were box office failure, you realized this is merely an employee who got laid off ranting. No point reading. Comparatively more was expected of MOS. it is after all the greatest superhero from DC Comics. The pride and being the beacon lead for DC. After Nolans Dark Knight, MOS indeed hasn't quite live up, and if the box office takings were (just) okay. Above average but not spectacular |

QUOTE(tictac88 @ Aug 20 2016, 09:05 AM) According to this report, Jared Leto scenes were cut in order to portray him to be a better person. Apparently he rather to be a total jerk and psycho on film though. I remember prior to the release of SS, there were reshoots and everyone said it was just adding more 'actions' and making it awesome.http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...r-a7181131.html 1) Scenes which he is abusive and murderous towards Harley were cut and reshot 2) Scenes showing him being a selfish jerk was cut Also many scenes portraying the squad team members as bad persons are cut, which are what the audience apparently want to see more of. http://www.slashfilm.com/suicide-squad-deleted-scenes/ I'm not quite sure anymore, I think they might ordered that to tie up a little when the WB suits might have decided on how little the scenes of Jared (joker) will be eventually in the final cut. If it's was indeed that they now wanted to see a different (less selfish, less a jerk, less a psycho) joker, I think it can also be seen as, David ayer directorial is not truly completely trusted by WB/DC studio. Did Heath ledger Joker different from what was envisioned. Both nolan & Heath agreed very well upfront. Studio then trusted without hesitation. I think that's the problem plaguing DC comic franchises as far. Good source material but completely messed up by different cooks. (Even though nobody, nor some fans everywhere readily admit) We all want DC to do well, all this comments about us being overly critical (including critics), is because we are quite sad that WB/DC has not been up to mark. And it shows. Critics are not wrong. |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Dec 23 2016, 11:58 AM) Watched the 'HD' version a week ago, the so-called "Extended Cut". Is David Ayer a offspring of Joel Schumacher, cause I swear someone, somewhere in WB loves Such gloss exaggeration and [i don't need to add expletives]. Wow. If there was a regret watching BvS, this would have been far worse. Lucky I skipped it in cinemas. The only redeeming factor was Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie); they did fantastic. But overall, what a garbage of a film. Can anyone believe how the Joker was represented in the film? And that ending?? Jaw dropping. do hope for DC/WB future sake to return the real creativity that made DC comics well loved by real fans. It so disappointing for fans to see their fav characters given such treatment. đŁ Please ben affleck, restore the faith in DC. You might be the only hope left. |
