What's the point of this event when the card has been available in Malaysia since day 1 of availability in the US?
Formality sake? biggrin.gif Even for R9 Fury and R9 300 series, the launch was held much later after the availability of products.

what do? AMD lose either way.....
charge more, consumers won't buy your product;
charge less and you don't have enough money to fund your next Bulldozer tongue.gif
They don't really have any wingle room unlike Intel, even if Zen is Super fast, I can see Intel slashing Core i5's prices just to kill Zen before it earns AMD any money whistling.gif

charge less, more quantity, more user based, helps for future products.

If Intel charge less for I5, pity all those I3 and Zen dual core.

AMD says Zen CPU will outperform Intel Broadwell-E, delays release to 2017

Finally we will see a $500~ AMD Processor?

Looks like they might even beat Intel on the efficiency front.

Well all this is just until intel throws a monster 7th gen processors, if, a big if.

Big questions for AMD
>Do the motherboard manufacturers want to make more AMD boards?
>Can they make competitive mobile products and get them manufacturers to play ball too?

That would entirely depend on its performance and price first. If its OC friendly and cheaper than its intel counter part, its going to be the obvious choice.

Being stuck with intel for the past few CPU generations, this would be a boon for bang for buck cpus.

Then again its AMD, so better crash your hype train now.
