Actually since you are asking this, I believe you can wait so just wait. Else if urgently need a phone you wont ask wait or not. The question would be different, this phone or other phones?

been flashing like crazy... found out ROMs with GCC 4.8 don't work nice w/ google camera, the HDR+ preview gets distorted, lens blur not working etc etc...

My advice:
It all depends on you, whether you can wait or not and whether you have money or not.

If you decide to wait, nexus 6 will most probably come out around october to november. I would say late october to early november.
If nexus 6 came out and you decide it is not your cup of tea, then you can get a very cheap nexus 5 where the price is already reduced further. ( Reason nexus 6 might not be my choice is because of the screen. 5.9" is too big. )

Else if you can't wait, then just get a nexus 5. You can never go wrong with one of the smoothest and fastest phone of Android.

Else if you have some extra money, buy a nexus 5, sell it when nexus 6 come out and buy nexus 6.

Motherf-er. No matter how much I love nexus, this is a no for me. (5.9" is big, design too round edges T^T) but finally bigger battery

Let's see if there's really a 5.2".

IMO this is the biggest upgrade in Nexus history, and im super excited for it. Honestly i think the N5 is getting smaller for my hands lol

just IMO, my wild guess is only 1 new nexus, which is 5.9" as reported from android police. if there is a demand for small or normal size phone, guess google answer will be continue ship current nexus 5. unless there is 5.2" huge jump specs.

I'm still skeptical on the future of Ara.

I was phablet hater, now not quite sure. Past few months I wanted to get Nexus 7, still yet to get one because of Nexus 9.
As long time Nexus supporter, I'm 99% confirmed getting it. On bright side, I wont need tablet anymore, as large phablet almost serve the purpose already, and no more power bank when I go out.
