QUOTE(kjlow88 @ Jan 13 2017, 10:41 AM) Thank you. 1) Why paper gold is not recommended ? 2) Where can we buy physical gold ? Places such as Tomei ? Thanks 1. Paper gold is not recommended coz no real gold involved. All you have only numbers and for muslims, it is already against the islamic law. Unless you only care for the low spread, then go on. 2. Do not buy Investment Precious Metal at jewellery shops, you will shock of the price and other rules such as buyback, trade in price etc.

QUOTE(jusTinMM @ Feb 2 2017, 09:51 AM) Can someone advise me why the gold price not standard? Eg. 916 gold at poh kong kl or pj area sell about rm205 per gram. However those small kampung gold shop at other state sell about rm 164 per gram. Those PK, WC and others in KL/PJ follow price set by FGJAM (Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Associations of Malaysia) since they are member. and those kampung gold shop are not, so not in obligation to follow the price.

7/8%? Good luck. Go to any PK shop, read the T&C. They display it on the counter.

QUOTE(danshi @ Mar 10 2017, 05:40 PM) I'm a newbie. What is the process for Gold Investment and how is it done. You buy the gold and then trade the same? Yes. basically it is buy low sell high. How low is low and how high is high nobody know except you. Once you've made the first purchase, make it as your benchmark price, then you will know when to buy or sell next.

QUOTE(scottyvstheworld @ May 7 2017, 01:46 PM) Wta the only time gold prices will spike high now is only if war starts? But if war starts what happened when your bank closed shop together with your gold information? War is not the only reason. there are few others also. But if war suddenly erupt, there's no guarantee you can get a hold of your digital gold. That's why it is better to hold the physical gold by yourself.

QUOTE(scottyvstheworld @ May 7 2017, 10:49 PM) How much worth of gold would you keep at home? 1-2 kilos simply nothing. 1 kilo bar only as big as your 5.5" phone. smaller denomination much more better to keep & hide. This post has been edited by zodd: May 7 2017, 10:56 PM

QUOTE(scottyvstheworld @ May 8 2017, 02:14 AM) Wow so you really have faith in gold as investment? I do but I dont really call it as investment. I convert the portion of my money for long term saving to preserve the value of wealth. Anything happen to our/world monetary system, then I have the gold as a safe haven. When paper money fails, the precious metals shine. and thats only of of many reason why I have faith in physical gold.

and I don't simply buy any brand of gold. my criteria of gold must 1. free gst 2. easy to buy (can lock price 24hrs/ample time of payment/lot of branch) 3. low spread 4. 999.9 5. unlimited stock 6. easy to sell (the company able to buy back in large volume)
