Not sure why u say buy pamp is a mistake hmm.gif

anyway just check bsm buyback also is around 5.6% for 100g 999 gold if u buy from them that is...

As for public gold me not so keen as outside of malaysia nobody know them and the spread when selling back public gold is around 6.38% for 100g 999 gold so slightly worst actually.

Bottom line is selling in malaysia is pain in the ass laugh.gif
*
Yeah..this Public Gold may not well suits you or other big players but to most people who want to keep gold and only has small budget let alone go overseas just to sell their gold , this where Public Gold enter into the picture. They can buy and sell 1gram with spread only 8%, compare to example 1gm Pamp at buysilver with 28% spread!! shocking.gif

Check again the same weight of gold Public Gold selling

1 PAMP / Perth Mint 1g Bar 205.76 (Sell) 160.80 (Buy) 27.97% (Spread) 8% (Public Gold Spread)
2 PAMP / Perth Mint 5g Bar 961.25 (Sell) 803.90 (Buy) 19.58%(Spread) 8%(Public Gold Spread)
3 PAMP / Perth Mint 10g Bar 1,804.88 (Sell) 1,607.80 (Buy) 12.26% (Spread) 8%(Public Gold Spread)
4 PAMP / Perth Mint 20g Bar 3,539.68 (Sell) 3,215.60(Buy) 10.08% (Spread) 7%(Public Gold Spread)
5 PAMP / Perth Mint 50g Bar 8,607.67 (Sell) 8,038.90(Buy) 7.08% (Spread) 6.5%(Public Gold Spread)

Point is, as long as the gold is genuine, established and accepted locally (such as collaboration with Pos Ar Rahnu), it is good enough. No need to worry about International recognition even though Public Gold already has branch at Singapore and soon, Indonesia.

As I said before. to each his own. It is our hard earn money, up to the person how to spend it...hehe biggrin.gif

silvermalaysia's spread is like that too. I reckon it's not because of rent but rather that's what most people buys, and also generally smaller sizes' spread are higher because of the cost of making them. And it make sense too that you would to take advantage to make the most profit out from the most sellable item you have, right?
*
Yeah. the minting of 1gm already known as expensive, compare to bigger 1. But 27% spread is just crazy..just how long u need to wait just to get even. Thats why Public Gold has no problem getting customers since their 1gm only have 8% spread, GST free.

Hi, would like to ask:
if I buy physical gold bar/coins from gold shops/banks, I can only sell back to them?
for example,
if I buy from poh kong gold bar, I can only sell back to poh kong?
buy from tomei, I can only sell back to tomei?
buy from maybank (kijang), I can only sell back to maybank?
buy from UOB (what ever gold bullion), I can only sell back to UOB?

can sell whatever gold bar/coin we buy from other place to buysilvermalaysia and public gold?
*
You can sell to whoever you want to. no restrictions as long as the buyer willing to buy. but better check the spread and other T&C 1st before agree to sell.

not sure with buysilvermalaysia, but public gold will buy whatever gold you have. it takes 1 working day before they bank in the money into your account.

I am looking to invest in gold but I am not sure how to make profit from it...Can anyone explain to me? Example I go open an Public Gold account then I buy 5 grams as it is the minimum. 5 grams cost 177.4900 for today right? So how do I make profit? Must I wait the buying to rise? Example the buying price is now 180.0000 so if i sell it all i earn around rm 3 from each grams? Please help me sad.gif

I was wondering which golds here are better to invest?

PAMP SUISSE / PAMP SUISSE LADY FORTUNA?

Like easier to sell?

As of now, if only in Malaysia, Public Gold's gold is the best to trade. Easier to buy, easier to sell with lower spread. If you always go abroad and trade gold, still can use Public Gold's gold due to its LBMA accredited, but pamp is known worldwide and the better choice.

Alright, thanks for the info smile.gif

Any advices on whether to go for Maybank or PBB GIA? From the current published rate, looks like PBB is having a smaller gap between the buying/selling price. Is this a good indication to choose them?

Thanks

All you get is only gold on paper, not in physical form. But if your target is the lowest of the spread, than it is up to you.

Any of them, as long as that's good as investment. Just want to protect money better than saving. Maybe could earn a bit in future
*
If goal more on to protect money, buy and keep gold with these characteristics

1. Low spread
2. Competitive price per gram.
3. Easy to buy and sell
4. GST free
5. Buy from reputable company
6. Unlimited stocks
7. Assured buyback from the seller

Good evening guys.

I have a question, if we buy a gold bar from Internet, does it include gold bar and certificate or receipt?

We need a certificate or receipt later when going to sell out?

Have a great day
Thanks
*
All gold bars must have receipt & certificate. Some company requires their customer to have those 2 during buyback or they have right not to accept your gold. I am not too sure with other co. since different co. have different policies. It is wise to check their T&C 1st before make any purchase. As for the co. which I am representing, all the gold comes with cert & invoice, but during buyback, you only need to give the cert and If you have old gold wanna to trade or sell will be accepted also eventhough no receipt or cert.. as long as it is pure gold.
