Just checking Mediacorp channels on Wikipedia and I noticed all mediacorp channels have been assigned Channel Numbers and are coming soon on astro

Agreed,wiki is unreliable but this one seems convincing as all channels of mediacorp hv been assigned channel numbers! Anyway lets keep fingers crossed. Seems asstro has run out of content and measat 3b looks underused

Exactly. Cartoon Network HD, Fox Sport 2 & 3 HD etc have been on Astro's Wikipedia page for so long yet they never see the light of day until now.

Someone vandalism the Wikipedia pages on TV channels... that person must be dreaming of having his own pay TV business, but he don't realise that Astro is playing monopoly.

how to reset the pin number for TV setting to enable HD?? i never changed it..maybe the installer did...

Hi.. anyone have their astro beyond remote control volume and channel buttons behaving in reversed manner?

I just got my beyond hd decoder replaced with PVR today. Got the new remote and was trying to configure the TV pairing. Somehow, after a lot of tries, I got the remote to control the TV, including the TV volume, but I then realised that the Volume and Channel buttons now does the opposite thing.

i.e. pressing Vol + actually decrease volume / pressing Channel + switches channel down.

I was pretty sure that the remote was working perfectly before. I have tried to reset the remote with the 977 code but still the Vol and Channel buttons are reversed.

Anyone with this experience?

The default PIN is 0000.
If you're using the new Astro B.yond firmware, you no longer needed to enter PIN to change the display resolution (change to 1080i).
On your remote, press Home>Settings>Display>Resolution.

Nope... This is kinda tricky.

Try referring to Astro customer service... I would not recommend you to call Astro, otherwise they will put you on hold for very long time, depend what time you call them. You can contact them on Astro Facebook page, message them.

1080i is the international standards for HD broadcasting.
Yes, you must use HDMI if you want to watch it in HD.

Just previewed Korean pack this morning.
It seems like two channels from Korean pack and golf channel HD doesn't require HD service to watch it.
So if I connected HDMI to TV it will be in HD, if not it will be letterbox.
Is it true?
