QUOTE(mingxpro @ Mar 2 2015, 12:25 PM) Hi everyone...I have brought a Astro beyond decoder from one of the lyn forum seller, In regards of this matter, you can refer to Astro's reply below:But the unit is still under his name as astro c.s. said, smart card need to reissue somemore....RM50 But I don't mind pay that, just need the decoder under my name to work. I have told him abt this matter, and he just no reply afterwards... Been calling and whatsapp him for weeks....but still no answer nor take action. Whatsapp do show that he saw my message....(two blue tick!!) Is there other way to change that? Or is there any master here can help me change that? (direct PM me if you do PLEASE Or request refund from seller? Will show the lyn forum name if still no solution or action by him three days from now. QUOTE Astro Hi, the new generation of decoders : Byond and PVR disable customers to change the smartcard to another decoder as each of the smartcards are hard-paired with the decoder provided upon installation. Both of the set (smartcard+decoder) are activated and linked together which, customer will not be able to get any service if the wrong smartcard is inserted into the wrong decoder. Sorry for the inconvenience. ^Linda https://www.facebook.com/Astro/posts/10151939594334627 Having said that, it is unlikely that you can change the account information in your Astro Byond decoder. |

I'm not sure if this is related to Astro, but just take a look.
QUOTE Measat demos 4K channels Source: http://advanced-television.com/2015/03/02/...os-4k-channels/ Visitors to Malaysia’s Asia Broadcasting Union’s ‘DBS’ show (Digital Broadcasting Symposium) in Kuala Lumpur (March 3-6) will see a pair of Ultra-HD channels transmitted from a Measat satellite using DVB-2SX. The signals will also be converted and transmitted terrestrially via DVB-T2 signals throughout the exhibition. Visitors will also be able to see 8K transmissions from a test by Japan’s NHK public broadcaster. The satellite transmission from Measat will be received via a 3m mesh-type receive antenna to be installed by Total Communication Sdn. Bhd. on the show’s rooftop at Hotel Istana. “Measat is excited to be part of another innovative technical demonstration that presents an enhanced broadcasting solution to our customers,” said Jarod Lopez, VP/Broadcast Sales, Measat. “Customers using this solution will have greater bandwidth efficiency to launch and distribute 4K channels on Measat’s satellites.” This post has been edited by leetan33: Mar 4 2015, 04:44 PM |

KUALA LUMPUR: 85 percent of the Malaysian population can expect better quality pictures and sound and can watch local
free-to-air (FTA) television in high definition (HD) by April next year, said Puncak Semangat Sdn Bhd Director Datuk Hilmi Mohd Noor. The benefits of digital TV will be enjoyed first by viewers in Peninsular Malaysia's east coast, once phase one of the digital terrestrial TV (DTT) project rolls out for Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan in January 2015, he said. Phase two, covering Sabah and Sarawak, is expected to be rolled out in February, followed by phase three for Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor. The country's switchover to digital broadcasting will be completed in April 2016 with phase four, covering Selangor, the Klang Valley, Putrajaya and all capital cities and suburban towns, Hilmi said at the launch of the DTT services here today by Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek. The fact that the East Coast was badly hit by the flood which will cost the government millions to rebuild the infrastructure, I think the digitization will be delayed. TBH, they should begin the project in Klang Valley, not the other way around. Having said that, when the project is complete, will Astro subscribers need to buy the set-top-box sold by Puncak Semangat to enjoy the HD FTA channels or will Astro add those channels on their lineup? Currently, Al Hijrah has HD feed yet Astro only broadcasts the SD version. This post has been edited by izwanikhsan: Mar 6 2015, 06:41 AM |
