Anybody can point me in the right directions to guide on how to set up the PVR to record stuff into my laptop? OR to record first into PVR and to transfer the recorded video to a USB drive or laptop later?

Google hasnt been that helpful.
*
to put it simple, you have to buy a video capture card and install it to your PC
that way either you record first in your PVR or not, u can capture that video..

Yeah but who's gonna pay for it? The Premier League will not let anyone have it for free. It's a cash cow for them. I dunno how the PL segregate the rights for Asia but it seems like country to country. Asstro holds the right currently to broadcast BPL matches/highlights/clips etc in Malaysia & Brunei only. Fox Sports meanwhile can only broadcast matches to Malaysia only it seems. By having Fox Sports to broadcast certain games, it denies Hypptv the rights to show those games under Fox & Supersport 3. Which is why Fox almost always show Man Utd games (largest viewership I guess). But of coz, hypptv has MUTV but I'm not sure if they show MU's live games or not.

While I do agree that Astro should not get monopoly power of all the BPL games, we must consider what is happening in the UK now.

For almost two decades, SKY had complete control of the rights to the games. When the regulators stepped in to stop the monopoly, Sky had to share the rights. While it broke their stranglehold on the games, it also burdened the fans who now have to pay 2 separate pay-tv operators to access more games. Sky have more matches but BT also has their fair share. You dont get all the matches through one pay-tvt though.

this is why i hope malaysians bpl fans should becareful what they wish for. Yes we hate astro coz they keep hiking d sports package due to rising content fees. Yet i dont want to pay them and tm for access to games if they share the rights.

imagine u need tm for BPL but astro has champions league, la liga, bundesliga plus formula one, rugby, nba, wwe etc. Malaysians simply arent ready for that. next season, sky has lost the rights for champions league to BT so fans in the UK need Sky for the majority and biggest games for BPL and also pay BT to watch d champions league

The best thing is for Astro n TM to show whatever each other has but offer better prices, packages, internet connections n etc.

btw, from next season, the German Bundesliga will move to the Fox Sports Network from their current Astro Supersport home. So one less league Supersport aRe paying for. Maybe to pay a bit more for BPL?

i personally are not a fans for football, so i am not effected by this, but it would be a "disaster" if that would be happen here where u have to pay both to get best of both world...
like i said earlier, its quite scary that BPL rights is expensive..

As I mentioned earlier, there's not much chance of this sharing of rights happening in Malaysia at the moment because of TM's limited HSBB coverage. We shall see if & when TM expands Unifi coverage.

Yes that is what happens in the UK.
.
Sky show 126 matches and BT 42. So you need to subscribe to both to get to watch the games. Thats juz d BPL. Sky have League Cup, Spanish league n cups but then BT has the FA cup, champions league, europa league n etc. so if u are a football fan, u will pay a lot.
.
Personally, while agree Astro should not get the monopoly here, they are the only one that can give access to everywhere in Malaysia. City or kampung, astro can give u that.
.
but TM cant even get unifi to a suburban place where my parents live so how can my dad watch his football? So for now, it can only stay with Astro.

Hi everyone...I have brought a Astro beyond decoder from one of the lyn forum seller,

But the unit is still under his name as astro c.s. said, smart card need to reissue somemore....RM50

But I don't mind pay that, just need the decoder under my name to work.

I have told him abt this matter, and he just no reply afterwards...

Been calling and whatsapp him for weeks....but still no answer nor take action.

Whatsapp do show that he saw my message....(two blue tick!!)

Is there other way to change that? Or is there any master here can help me change that? (direct PM me if you do PLEASE cry.gif )

Or request refund from seller? mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Will show the lyn forum name if still no solution or action by him three days from now.
