Congratulation! wah u managed to get quite a sum there

Anyway I only managed to get rm500 ASW & rm100 ASM

even if there's unit available that time, they still insist cannot open new account (and say No units available)

then how to start if can't open new a/cs?

need to wait for ASNB to announce fund size increase & open for new subscription (which a lot of non-bumi waiting since 2010)

based on some "expert", the wait could be even longer now

so back to square 1...

1. RM6k into PTPTN/SSPN for the 6K tax relief (2013 dividend was 4.25%)
2. RM60k voluntary EPF contribution (2013 dividend was 6.35%)
3. Balance to FD (MBSB 5 yr @4.7%)

well, u already got everyting figure out. There no more "safe" & "kinda low-risk" investment left.

Anyway don't u think 5yr FD not too long? People expecting OPR to increase near term

Yes, i thought about it. Just placed a nominal amount in mbsb last month as most are in BR's 3-mth FD's @ 3.6%.

The 18th Sep BNM meeting will be the first indicator where to move the funds as both mbsb & BR are very slow to increase their rates after the July increase!

then should be okay, because u got BR 3mth FD

The first shot has been fired by Strd Chrtd Bank, so Now we could expect some FD Promo "war" soon among banks in Malaysia

SCB is trying to get some "cheap" fund before the impeding increase either this month or in Nov. The bottom line is rates WILL increase; just a question of WHEN!

Interesting to note this thread and the FD thread have some common guys !

Well there's Not much Amanah Saham units available (fixed price), so we all "park" at FD & others places like what giko listed in previous post. When ASx available, we all shall "transfer" back to ASx

I was looking for other investments but ASNB funds kinda hard to get! May just venture into REITs as the returns seem reasonable OR may go back into the stock market...

I think other banks are just going into the wait & see mode until Sep 18...

Imo. Maybank started it with 3.85 which never been done by them b4.. And its from 3.15 previously.

But for me la I stop for eying for fixed price in asnb ad. Now I eying on variable fund and fd war only. Asg is getting interesting lol. Expect highest NAV for this year will more thn 1.22 under 1.30..

wow! rm5000/transaction for ASM Seldom I see non-bumi get that much per transaction

I can't even open fixed price account in RHB. So for now, just sapu whatever I can on ASN-3 and 3 ASG funds. Let their dividends average out instead of concentrating on the Health fund promoted by the manager.
