OMG! I just saw the ASN dividend history & u know what. 20sen dividend in year 1981 Bear in mind that the dividend from 1981 to 1990 was based on fixed unit price while from 1991 onwards, it's variable pricing..

QUOTE(daniellee80 @ Dec 24 2014, 12:37 PM) Managed to get 6700...for AS 1 malaysia...so hard for ASW and ASM...i wonder why.... I think those holding ASW & ASM are more "conservative" type of people which only withdraw when it's the last option. while those holding AS1M is more "open" people where they add & withdraw when they have better option to invest. Remember not everyone invested in AS1M & when the 1st divvy is out, the fund already sold-out (those invested AS1M took the risk even when some bankers told the fund only would pay 4% p.a divvy)

QUOTE(plumberly @ Dec 26 2014, 07:29 PM) I hope not. Maybe it is to optimise and standardize one printing format for all the funds. Have they changed FP to VP funds in the past? If so, which ones? Thanks. ASN from FP year 1981 until 1990 to VP from year 1991 onwards... but I think cannot pakai one because most ASN holders "convert" to ASB after the change lo

QUOTE(plumberly @ Dec 26 2014, 09:56 PM) I see. Thanks for the insight. So far, none of the non-bumi fund has been converted from FP to VP. They will start with ASM? Hope not. currently only ASN.. that also years back. I really hope they don't change it. if not ASNB better prepared for mass withdrawal by malaysian public » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Hoping someone higher-up in PNB reading tis post This post has been edited by nexona88: Dec 26 2014, 10:04 PM

QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Dec 27 2014, 09:08 AM) For the management of ASNB to convert the ASM into a variable price, i believe that the possibilities are very low because :- a) many of the non-bumis will withdraw their capital; or b) no non-bumis will inject capital into the investment fund whereby ASNB might experience lower capitalization for investment; However, should they consider this option, I also believe that they have to notify the investors earlier before it is put to float price option. But i am sure that i would be one of the investors to withdraw my investments and close the account.. I also join the club.. confirm closed ASM account if change to VP. but according to wil-i-amQUOTE As per Terms of Deed, no sales charge is imposed on sale of ASB, ASW, ASM & ASD xcept AS1M & ASB2 So I can conclude that only AS1M & ASB2 risk of being converted to VP fund

QUOTE(plumberly @ Dec 27 2014, 03:01 PM) One question just came to my mind. When they changed ASN from FP to VP, I assume that they did inform the holders and what was the time period they gave before implementing that? Anyone with ASN here who went through this change? Need to know and plan ahead in case they go ahead with this VP thing. Thanks. P/S If they change FP to VP for any of the ASX, very likely I will be cashing out. Why? With the volatile market now, it is sad to see your money deflating like a balloon when the market crashes. With FP, it will not be that bad as your capital is preserved. I'm sure ASNB would inform all unitholders. I think need to get SC & unitholder approval before can change well, if they ask to vote, before voting. I already cabut with all my $$ confirm mass withdrawal

Those ASM unitholders who fail to do tis week or planning to change new passbook, please do b4 ASB transaction is open. It took me around 25min just to do it I overheard the staff talking to another staff that one need to "closed" the current account, open new account, get the new number & transfer the balance unit into the new ASM account. Later need to get confirmation from bank supervisor who have the ASNB code to print the details onto the new passbook
