QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Oct 29 2014, 12:53 PM) Can open saving in Asnb agent banks. No IBG transfer required. even ASNB agent banks like Maybank, RHB and CIMB needs one working day to transfer money into ASNB for online transactions

QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Oct 29 2014, 05:25 PM) No, I don't think it's new units. The funds are deemed as fully subscribed but in theory it can never be 100% all subscribed as there are transactions affecting these fixed priced funds everyday. Unless no one sold a single unit on that day, than the fund can be theoretically be 100% fully subscribed. Personally, I think it's the same queue system as is practiced right now just that you can do it at your convenience rather than having to go to a branch physically. This is also why I used the theory that they use FPX and not IBG for their payment gateway. I may be wrong though but for now it's pure speculation. For most I think, having the opportunity to go "fishing" without having to go to a branch is already a welcomed relief right FPX charges will be higher than IBG's 10 sen or even IFT's RM 2. and how about failed transactions due to no fund? will there also be FPX charges?

ASN2 today = 0.6696
bought (27/10) = 0.6646
gain: 0.5 sen per unit
x 100,000 unit = RM 500 in 5 days
of course that one not yet minus SC. need to get to 0.700 to recover back SC

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Oct 31 2014, 12:55 PM) Actually sc is the main problem. Even sell at highest price also can't cover yet for the 1st year. u just have to remember, this is never intended to be short term investment. it's a 3 - 5 yr investment and u need to study market trend. exit when you make at least 80% of your capital. and pray that you can sell before unit split.

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Oct 31 2014, 02:17 PM) Yea. Correct. And bout the unit split, I am quite surprise. Doesn't it bring harm to current investor? no. you'll get more units to offset the reduced NAV in short, your total investment in RM is equivalent to before the unit split the last split was in july 2014 This post has been edited by lucifah: Oct 31 2014, 03:46 PM

someone mentioned GST
so how does GST affect ASNB purchases / selling?
will we be charged GST om both transactions?
if we are charged input tax, how will we claim output tax?
if we sell our units, will we be able to claim for GST?
or is ASNB GST exempted?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 31 2014, 06:06 PM) all point seems okay, but buying gold? gold is on down trend now, price won't go up anytime soon. also no pay dividend like ASx gold is not liquid enough as investment plus, it's high risk - u won't know if the gold bar you have in your possession is really 99.999% pure gold or just 96% gold. i can't tell any difference at all

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 31 2014, 07:20 PM) only the SC has GST, am i right? that means for RM 100k purchase, a 5% SC = RM 5,000 6% GST from RM 5,000 SC = RM 300 so total SC + GST = RM 5,300 ?

QUOTE(plumberly @ Oct 31 2014, 07:30 PM) Suppose RM1 billion trading volume per day at KLSE, 6% = RM60 million /day. Over a year, 60*220 = RM13.2 billion pa GST extra revenue for the govt! At the expense of those who are into shares. If kena GST on selling a losing share, then it is really adding acid/salt to injury! Maybe tax is only on profit (=capital gain tax?) I thought CGT is PKR's push and BN is not implementing that at the moment. CGT was put aside by govt, saying that it may affect FDI. we only have 1 kind of CGT at the moment, that is the RPGT.

QUOTE(AyamBanned @ Nov 9 2014, 10:50 AM) Hi.. I have received a call from CIMB telemarketer last wednesday/thursday told me that They have promotion where I can Increase my loan amount up to 50k but in cash form not just certificate. I asked here to send me the details via email but until I haven't receive any news from her. Is there anyone here from CIMB can confirm this? Ayam really appreciate it most probably telemarketers promoting you PERSONAL LOAN - not ASB financing that's crazy shit personal loan and has many hidden traps, esp the early termination plan and has no ASB-RTA insurance All ASB financing option will have your ASB cert held by the bank as COLLATERAL (you are asked to pre-sign a selling form) so if suddenly you cannot repay the loan, they will sell back your ASB units to recover the loan remainder and give you back the excess amount
