Hey guys any recommendation for a bass-heavy IEM that's below or around RM200? I'm using a Creative EP-630 and I'm looking for something that sounds the same. Do you know anything with a similar sound profile?
*
never tried the Creative EP-630 so cant say for sure about the sound profile but you might try sony earphones with the extra bass feature. its within your budget i think..

Is there such a thing as open back IEM? Looking for something that looks like i'm wearing nothing and I can hear outside. Wanna use it in office, so a mic helps too.

I'm using Koss Portapro with Yaxi pads, Philips SHP9500 with replacement ear pads, Aftershokz Openmove, Nuforce HEM1.

I mean I could use the Aftershokz but wanna see whether there's alternatives.

Audeze in-ear series. Their cheapest models are iSine 10 / LX, but I think they are discontinued, so you will have to look around for places which still have them for sale /2nd hand.
The cheaper copy versions are Monoprice Monolith M300 but I think they also stopped producing them. You can try to source around 2nd hand.

Another is Unique Melody ME1, also possibly discontinued. And Whizzer BS1..

- Your rig (laptop, smartphone)
- What type of usage (discord, music but mostly music)
- File format used in your source (youtube, spotify)
- Genre of music you listen to (all kinds but mostly acoustic, piano)
- Headphone/ earphone type (circumaural)
- Other requirements (if any) (bluetooth if possible)

Right now my budget is around rm600-700 maybe can push a bit more. To be honest Im kinda torn to find one during 8/8 sales or just wait few months for 11/11 sales(heard its bigger). Any recommendation that have good offer right now or is there any good headphone that dont have sale right now I can w8 for 11/11if needed.

Getting a Schiit Modius + Asgard so would like to see if the balanced output makes a difference.

Looking for balanced heaphones, preferably open-back(but not a must).

Don't know if there exists one for RM500, but willing to go up to RM1000 for now.

There are many options, but everyone has different sound preference...
I have a brand new HD58X for sale if you want, bought it for my nephew as a gift but got him something else in the end.
Letting it go for RM700 if you're interested, the same price I paid for it lol

hello everyone!

i'm looking for some recommendations for a headphone in the budget range, max RM200. will be looking to use this with a PC, don't mind wired or bluetooth, tho it would be better if it's bluetooth.

primary use would be music (ballad, hip-hop, occasional heavy metal) and gaming. don't have any particular demands, just looking for recommendations to start. previous experience with any type of earphones is QCY's bluetooth earbuds and Sony's wired earbuds, very punchy sound, like those earbuds but looking for headphones now.

thanks in advance!

But asgard only has single ended output? Btw around 1k can also get the HD6XX. Since you have means to secure the schiit, then you should consider the hd6xx also.

Never owned either so can't really speak from experience.

Seems the GSP500 is the slightly better all rounder from reviews, but may need an amp as the volume is a bit lower than the PC37X.

If you were to get the PC37X, the cost would be around RM575 with shipping. Shipping forwarder can save about RM10, so may not be worth it. Might as well just ship directly from Drop.

Better read all the reviews from the buyers first. The PC37X has been plagued with bad mic quality issues. Wanted to get that for my nephew as well, but got the HD58X instead since most of the Sennheiser gaming headphones have poor mic quality.

I suggest get a headphone that have support for APTX for better quality stream and APTX-LL for lower latency, so that doesn't have the feel audio not sync with video.
