Earpump Studio- RM79 Is it worth RM79 or I could find something better @ similar price? p/s: It's quite good to my ear but 'm ain't an Audiophile. Airphone III - RM129 Is this comparable to Earpump Studio? Didn't test it. |

Hello, im currently using Seinnheiser HD555 & been using it for 4-5 years already. Now planning to upgrade my headphone. So what is a significant upgrade from a HD555?
Something to note: - What type of usage: music, games - File format used in your source: FLAC & mp3 - Genre of music you listen to: more to R&B & ballad - Headphone/ earphone type: closed, circumaural etc This post has been edited by dauf87: Sep 22 2014, 10:08 AM |

So what is a significant upgrade from a HD555? You could try Sennheiser HD650, but its open-back and full size headphone just like your HD555. Else try the M50.Something to note: - What type of usage: music, games - File format used in your source: FLAC & mp3 - Genre of music you listen to: more to R&B & ballad - Headphone/ earphone type: closed, circumaural etc And please state your budget. |

QUOTE(dauf87 @ Sep 22 2014, 04:48 PM) Sennheiser Momentum looks interesting. Anyone bought it? Depends. What about the price here in M'sia? Personally you would choose which one? I am a Sennheiser fan boy but Momentum are less portable to me since it cannot fold. Sony are the best portable, and price/performance ratio based on recent price (less than RM 1k) I have the Denon, a bit bassy for your genre, less portable also. T5p not heard before, no comment, but is top of the line of Beyer, could never go wrong. LCD... you need amp to drive it... forget about it by now... My choose will be 1. Momentum 2. Denon 3. Sony 4. Beyer |

and before I forget, if you come from open back, you will find uncomfortable wearing a close back, so better try it out before you regret.

QUOTE(dauf87 @ Sep 22 2014, 04:48 PM) Sennheiser Momentum looks interesting. Anyone bought it? +1 on Ask_Yip's comment. The Momentum is not portable especially when you're bringing it out with the case. V-Moda M100 has probably the best portability build, but it's more genre specific and not as versatile sounding as Momentum. What about the price here in M'sia? Personally you would choose which one? If portability is not an issue for you, then Momentum is nice... other choices for you that i haven't heard are Shure SRH1540, Focal Spirit, NAD VISO HP50, etc. |
