"The wisdom teeth is erupting, and it will be uncomfortable."

How long will that normally take?

Days, weeks or months?

Thanks.

Well, it depends on each individual's tooth eruption rate. For wisdom teeth, it varies from person to person. Some wisdom teeth might not fully erupt or covered by a layer of gum tissues.

user posted image

Some might erupt in place or slightly tilted like the x-ray image I showed in the previous thread but some might not be out AT ALL. It may be due to many reasons like lack of space to erupt or the tooth beside prevents it from erupting.
So what you can do currently is to maintain the oral health by brushing properly, flossing and using mouthwash. If the pain is unbearable, take some painkiller and visit the dentist. There may be some infections underneath the gums or some diseases related to the tooth. And one more important thing is to rest well! smile.gif

Hi, have you try Dr Saw before?

I have seen his work before. His work is definitely one of the best you can find when it comes to endodontics in Malaysia.

This is why you should brush your teeth every day and avoid sugary and overly acidic/alkaline food smile.gif

Hi, sorry for late reply and glad to hear your plan relieve. BUT , i still want to prepare you for worst case. If you experiencing throbbing pain during sleeping, it means the infection has already gone into the bone. The best treatment is root canal treatment. But the pain can also be relieve with normal filling, with the chance of the pain coming back, so when the pain has come back, you know that this teeth is beyond normal filling, root canal treatment or extraction is the treatment.

thanks for your reply

the doctor gave me the option. Root Canal or pull the tooth. i chose root canal. he already jab my gums with GA.
during the doctor was cleaning the teeth preparing for the root canal. suddenly he said no need to do root canal
it is close to the nerve but have not hit it. so he proceed with normal filling.

as of now. the pain is still there when eating which i think is normal as it requires a few days of healing.
will update here if the pain comes back(hopefully it do not) flex.gif

Hi doc. Any recommendation Mouthwash products for people with braces? I am currently using Listerine original flavour. But the sting feeling is very strong. Thank you. 😂

My dentist removed 4 pre-molars of mine for braces purpose. My question is, will the extraction sites resorp and once the other teeth are aligned to the extraction site will the tooth loose due to bone loss? And gum recession too?

Since brushing played an important role in preserving our teeth and not many people are brushing pure teeth in correct way, do u thinking using electronic tooth brush will overcome this problem? Or using our conventional tooth brush is better? Is there any side effect if using electronic tooth brush?
My dentist is not suggesting me to us mouth rinse Bcs she told that mouth rinse can cause staining on our tooth.....is it true? What mouth rinse u suggest?

chlorhexidine mouth rinse(oradex, bactidol, etc) will cause severe staining especially
if used for more than a week and having braces.... definitely a no no for this case....
