I googled around, seems like changing from ADSL2+ to ADSL2 and ANNEX A would help?Or should I go the other GMT thingy?

QUOTE(celciuz @ Mar 6 2017, 10:11 PM) Oh ok, change back to settings on which the line was stable. Maybe that is the best SNR that you can get. Have you tried changing the ADSL splitter with the splitter that was provided by Asus. This post has been edited by GOPI56: Mar 6 2017, 09:17 PM |

Ur dsl status is good...My DSL stats are as attached... should I be changing any settings? Try direct connection w/o splitter.. Ur old modem still good or had the same prob? |

Your ADSL is stable but internet connection is dropped? How frequent is it? Check your PPPOE configurations, make sure it is configured to be always on. |

Not too sure about the frequency, but I installed the modem router on Friday night, probably 3 times since then. Currently monitoring on the DSL up time.Check your PPPOE configurations, make sure it is configured to be always on. |

My parents' house shows ADSL 2+ Annex M, max speed around 27Mbps. (now 4Mbps Streamyx)
But my own house shows ADSL 2+ Annex A, max speed around 11Mbps only. (4Mbps Streamyx also) |

QUOTE(juzmafia @ Mar 8 2017, 12:55 PM) Yes, I'm on the latest firmware btw. And it is kinda buggy though, when I assign static ip via the web browser as soon as I click the +, my modem would proceed to update but then I would be locked out from 192.168.1.1 until I restart the modem. When I get back in, it is already added.I tried with the new firmware + reset to factory setting doesn't seem to help. I'm trying out ADSL2 ANNEX A instead now since I'm only on 4 Mb anyways. |
