I d/l an app called number fixer. It did not solve the problem. But what solved it was, once u found a number that cannot send sms, go to contacts, copy the number then delete it and add back with +60xxxxxxxxx. Should work now. Thats how i solved it anyway. shakehead.gif

Its an accurate assessment according to the specs. The theres no other phone with dual sim, sd card slot, >=300ppi resolution, small <=5", snapdragon 400 cpu, OTG usb support, bluetooth 4.0, very good rear camera (high mp does not=good). The only other phone is the Honor 6 which is bigger.

I'm waiting for someone to post a drop test video other than those scratch tests. And surprise surprise! That Indonesia made one!!

After 3 months of using it like how i used my Nokia 3310 and C3, i can confirm now Redmi 1S is now a comparable quality phone to the godlike durability of my Nokias. Its ridiculous how reliable and sturdy it is. I'm loving it so much now. That original Xiaomi TPU case is a must buy if you do not have a case for it. My TPU case is so scratched up and faded and has rubbed sheen here and there. This is the shit!!! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

No signal in sim1 wouldn't auto switch the data usage to sim2. Only when you manually de-activate sim1, the data connection will switch to sim2 automatically.
The Data-off button apply to both sims, can't off it on individual sim slot.

Hi,

May I know how long is the battery life of this phone? I am considering MotoG and 1S. Both has the same battery capacity. My bro is using MotoG and the battery life looks quite lasting. One good thing about 1S is it's cheaper than MotoG.
*
Just ok, not good. I got 6+hr looping a 720p video which is quite ok, but in real life usage I get several hours of screen time for browsing/reading which is fair-below average. I think v37 without the zram/throttling of v45 might have been better for battery life.

you may say so, but thats not the case in my situation. quite often, it auto change between those two. 2nd sim is 2g only, but even those can cost a lot. if i can't do that, then i would have to subscribe a data package on my digi, or dumping this xiaomi alltogether.

My redmi note don't have this problem, but signal reception is extremely poor.

anyone else can help?

I sounds like a bug to me. You can choose which sim the data connection is using in the menus. Its set to the 3g slot by default.

Call/chat/email support with your problem and let us know what they say.

When Data connection is set at sim1 and sim2 is on 2g standby, never play with the SIM card management settings. If you de-activate sim1 by mistake and immediately switch it back on, the data connection will auto switch to sim2 but wouldn't switch it back to sim1 even though you have re-activated sim1.
My 1s and note wouldn't change data connection from sim1 to sim2 even though sim1 signal icon showing no signal X. you may want to send it back to SC to get it rectified since there is no way to turn off data on each sim slot individually.

i see. will try to contact xiaomi support first. im using maxis broadband for 1st sim and digi postpaid on 2nd sim. this is the 2nd time im getting 200+ on my digi coz used few mb data.

this sim issue is the only major issue im having with 1s. there are times i don't get calls in, bt im not sure if its bcuz of the sim management or poor signal coverage. If im actively using 1st sim for internet(say downloading), would the 2nd sim won't have reception? Since to my knowledge, its single antenna shared by 2 sim (not active dual standby)
