Also v37 addresses the save to memory card function for most of the apps. Is there any other enhancements?

Also when using GPS the phone is very warm. Much warmer than using just Wifi. Pondering to buy another for my cousin RM419 with presale, because it has everything that i bought last month for RM459.

I placed order or another unit and reject payment by card issuer? But in my bank statement there is a RM3.xx pre authorization charge for 3 times!!! WAffak?

But can receive SMS. I checked the General settings and all of her setting is same like mine which is on Maxis Hotlink. I have also checked Permissions in security and disabled it to see if that is the problem like how it affected Whatsap. But to no avail. Phone is running on MIUI ver.45 The last solution is to reset her phone. Anyone have this problem before?

I saw this forum too when i posted my msg. Redmi SMS bug I d/l Number Fixer and it did not work also. So my work around is copy the phone number, delete it, then add the number back again removing out the spaces and dash. It solved the problem!!

That Indonesia made one!! jdnKrcHui-w After 3 months of using it like how i used my Nokia 3310 and C3, i can confirm now Redmi 1S is now a comparable quality phone to the godlike durability of my Nokias. Its ridiculous how reliable and sturdy it is. I'm loving it so much now. That original Xiaomi TPU case is a must buy if you do not have a case for it. My TPU case is so scratched up and faded and has rubbed sheen here and there. This is the shit!!!

The phone now becomes even more better than when i first got it. Some changes i like, some not. Here are some breakdown of the Pros and Cons. Pros - Battery usage improved a little - Charging time is faster - Phone heat is still there, but the lag problem is almost gone. Also the heat dissipation changed. From focused above the camera to spread out to the middle of the phone. (They can do that?!?!) - Update seems to free up about 20-50mb for me. - Everything seems faster/ smoother - Mi Fit now allows the Mi band to unlock the phone - Can play my fave games with almost no long duration lag that i need to pause for it to cool down before continuing. - Themes is working again. - Other apps seems faster to launch - Compass works again - Camera gained new feature, but lost some feature Cons - Needs getting used to new thinner fonts - Unlocking phone method changed. This is solidly builts, up till today, the phone is still working fine despite all the abuse I have done to it. You wont even believe how many times I have dropped this face down, corners, tarmac road or tiled floors. It didnt break. It still works fine. Software wise, the MIUI support is not that great from Xiaomi as they're still on 4.4 but with the help of 3rd Party developers I have Resurrection Remix 5.5.7 based on Android 5.1.1 with The Beast kernel. When I have 50 or 60 apps installed, the phone obviously did not run well. Heck it'd freeze 80% of the time. I did a clean wipe and now I only install social media apps such as Instagram, Whatsapp and Snapchat for them to be fully functional. Otherwise, social media like Facebook and Twitter, I am using web apps for them. That reduced my RAM consumption a lot. I also disabled Chrome which is a RAM hogger and replaced it with Dolphin Browser with the custom HTML5 Engine. Very usable I would say. I can listen to Spotify with Viper4Android On, surfing lowyat forum and still have 250MB of RAM left. Battery Battery life is simply amazing with this little apps. I can get easily get almost an entire day of usage on a single charge. I'm not going go into it much, but I'm leaving the screenshots below. [attachmentid=5191209][attachmentid=5191210] Final verdicts The Redmi 1S is still a powerful phone for daily usage apart from the 1GB RAM. It may not be capable for heavy social media apps but what do you expect for a 1GB RAM Android phone. Watching Youtube on this is still very enjoyable without any stutter at 720P which is great. Can you use it as your daily driver still? It depends on how you use your phone. Like me, I dont feel like throwing this away yet as it still works fine. Thus I started using web apps which is perfectly fine. If you want to use social media apps, I suggest you to upgrade from the Redmi 1S as its not capable to do so. But if you're doing it like me, I dont see why its impossible. Its a great robust device and you lower the risk of being robbed since its almost worthless now. Thats all for now. Thank you if you did read it up to this point. My report same as yours. The phone is Nokia tough. Except i'm running all stock Rom. And last month changed to MIUI6. Just today found out got MIUI V7. But not going to upgrade it at the moment. Wanted to change to Redmi2 but the price went up and not worth that much IMHO.
