QUOTE(amirinz @ Oct 31 2014, 11:58 PM) With the weight, IMO its better to bring a separate keyboard, at least you have the freedom of a detachable keyboard. Also, thinkpad keyboards are IMO, the best laptop keyboard that I have ever used. agreed. lugging around heavy laptop on campus is not fun which i can attest to

QUOTE(captvizcenzo @ Nov 6 2014, 04:21 PM) Yes, need to desolder the LED too since you need to take out the switch. Feels linear, no more mushy feeling. I'm sure it will feel better after lubing. What would be a good lube that i can get and doesn't cost bombs locally? Is the difference big? I could feel the tension even when i'm not bottoming out the keys.

How much typing hours you have on your keyboard now?

Not much today is the 4th day i'm using it. I don't think breaking in would make much difference for me it's like heaven and hell comparing to costar to me now.

You need to use a fine paintbrush (art store) or hypodermic needle (med students/housemen friends). As a rule, you only need a layer of lubricant between the contacts and nothing more.
