QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Nov 2 2014, 09:26 AM) At least you tried other common switches. Just because of costar stabilizer you feel that Filco is the best?Well, Filco is the best. Filco is the best, because of the precision same feel of each keystrokes, costar stabilizers, very solid. Which cherry stabilizers keyboard like CODE, Ducky, etc other brands will never able to beat. So, Filco is the godkeyboard in OEM cherry keyboard. end. I think HHKB comes with a "make sense" layout with minimise redundant keys. I personally have a HHKB. It's designed for typing use. It's just the top right 2 keys are not ergo as hardly reachable using touch typing. Ya, Topre switches is gooding. But, hope you don't compare Topre and cherry switches. 1 is apple, another is orange. People don't sell all their Cherry keyboard to buy Topre. I don't do that, and other veterans don't do that as well. Daily use. I don't use laptop keyboard, only use mkb. 14 hours per day using mkb. I do agree that the space, shift keys from cherry are not as solid as costar but I think that other MKB still deserves the chance for the top spot. Personally, I feel that Filco is a very good KB but they need to update their design so that it doesn't feel so Japanese ( Not sure what other word to describe it, the KB's design is very conservative ) |

Im looking for any seller in LYN that can help me buy or sell to me Topre Realforce keycaps. Anyone please?
PM me I need to change my black on black keycaps as I cannot see the lettering. If I dont buy keycaps, can I paint or put stickers on the keycaps? Anyone selling stickers or something like that. Basically I just need to see the lettering and currently Black on Black keys makes my grandfather eyes not see anything. Thank you This post has been edited by ricstc: Nov 2 2014, 11:23 PM |

QUOTE(koonghx @ Nov 2 2014, 10:20 PM) Just because of costar stabilizer you feel that Filco is the best? Filco wins based on typing feels among all OEM I do agree that the space, shift keys from cherry are not as solid as costar but I think that other MKB still deserves the chance for the top spot. Personally, I feel that Filco is a very good KB but they need to update their design so that it doesn't feel so Japanese ( Not sure what other word to describe it, the KB's design is very conservative ) If you want to get costar feel, just clip your cherry stabs. Filco design is universal ANSI. It's kind of normal. Just like those HHKB, Realforce, and other Japan-brand keyboards, they stick with their conservative design. Ducky Shine Series is as good as Filco, quality is par. Still Filco is better typing feel. As enthusiasts say, "Filco all quality, no gimmicks." Only those using other keyboards before and use Filco will know the truth. Enthusiasts won't simply intro Filco if Filco is not the best. P.S.: I'm a Ducky Shine user. |

QUOTE(combataran @ Nov 2 2014, 11:13 PM) No deadline so far.If keycaps arrived MY still no payment received, we probably just proceed to ship out orders to each individual that have paid. Those who didn't, we just wait until get paid then ship out when we are free. Life is getting busy when age is increasing =/ . |

QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Nov 2 2014, 11:46 PM) Ah ok so apparently there are 2 types of cherry mx switches 1 for plate mounting and another made for pcb mounting? What about the price for them? Prices on taobao are about 2.50-3.00RMB and on ebay are 2-3USD which is a HUUGE difference. Are those on taobao genuine or just the ebays one are ridiculously expensive? |

Never buy from ebay vendors, they suck. Either get from mechanical keyboard.com (for certain switch) or taobao is generally cheaper. those taobao should be genuine as long as they mentioned those switches are made by cherry. |

Either get from mechanical keyboard.com (for certain switch) or taobao is generally cheaper. those taobao should be genuine as long as they mentioned those switches are made by cherry. Most keyboards on the market now are plate mounted so it should interchangable right? For example if i want to change between poker ii switches to my filco mj2 switches? Most OEM boards are using plate mount switch, since there are plates used. Most keyboards on the market now are plate mounted so it should interchangable right? For example if i want to change between poker ii switches to my filco mj2 switches? Yes, u can always change the type of switches u want/prefer as long the pcb are using/supporting cherry mx. Apparently other "similar" switch like kailh, gateron etc also fit since they look "identically" same. |
