Did anyone notice that if you use a different charger and cable other than supplied with the OPO, the charging time doubles from 2 hours to 4 hours for a battery drained phone to full. Im finding it very irritationg to have to charge the phone for so long.  rclxub.gif

That's why original accessories is a must to prolong your built-in battery .

If you want to change custom recovery (in this case, TWRP), you need to unlock bootloader.

Nah, just use good quality cable and quality + high output charger is good to go.
Not every normal usb cable you find now in local/common shops are good quality.
Last time my 1+1, I don't use the supplied cable/charger and I get good charging time. Didn't really check but am getting around ~1.6-1.8k mah

Oh..okay. I thought all the ori cables should be performing the same. But the OPO supplied cables are nice though. thumbup.gif

im not going to go into the details of usb cables. suffice for u to know, samsung's cable head, the pins are not full, some are missing, not as per full pins. hence, slow charging.

Based on the pictures here

http://oneplus.net/oneplus-one-flip-cover

It does leave it a bit exposed on the upper and bottom parts.

I agree to that. However those are original cables which charges my Samsung phones well. Oh well, maybe different phone have to use a different cable thats all. Anyway, thanks for your info.

because, it is meant for samsung, the usb port on ur samsung is specifically designed to receive power from the port

i recall there USB has got some standards when it comes to how things are wired, etc... they can't simply swap things around and still call it USB. smile.gif

i've been reading up and there are mention of cables with 28/28AWG vs 28/24AWG. those with 28/24AWG would actually give you better charging experience. its got to do with the "thickness" of the cable.
