That's normal for a japanese design now day, to reduce a weight and force when during a crash.
Even a Toyota 86 has a similar design, you can see both side can see the banana leaf very clear.

About the air intake hole will facing right just because when the on moving, will have a lot cold air coming in from head light area. Most of the daihatsu car was following this design.

Those tested the Axia G spec Manual, don't you think the clutch is abit too light ?? Like Perodua forgot to put the spring at the clutch pedal ?
The steering position is perfect for me. I'm 170cm. Rear seats however is so damn straight..

tested the highest spec auto yesterday, the engine's vibration is noticeable

indeed it's really underpower and delay in throttle response, would like to test the manual next time

other than that, overall is quite ok.. for the e/g spec the grill connected to the headlamp is weird.. the grill is inward and not flat position with the headlamp hmm.gif

My gf just got key today. She got the advance version. I tried drving. Is a lil underpower, 1.0litre what to say. Im sure the fc is damn good. The best part is got side parking sensor
, where as im driving a 200k car without even a reverse parking. Overall she loves it cause its small and compact. It comes with free tinting under llumar might require to stick another darker layer. The steering position is not adjustable.

It's FE brother won Engine of the Year for 4 consecutive years for goodness sake! sweat.gif

This is a nice little car. Some people like me loves basic, adequately-powered, small hatchbacks.

The engine note is unique, eager, simple and does the job. Currently getting 16.3km/l with 80% city driving with lotsa stop-go traffic. Sub 1000km odo, auto.

Throttle response is slow because uses e-throttle, not the traditional cable with throttle body type. So, after you press, the ECU needs some time to process, only then open throttle body. Many cars like this these days...

Would you trade a P2 1000cc car like Kelisa or Kenari, for Axia?
Let's say they fetch about RM10~12k, so need to pay up for a new one...

kelisa/kenari can fetch 10K at used car dealer ? (not direct buyer)

I did get the axia , to replace my myvi 1.3.

kelisa/kenari undoubtedly have great pick-up response.

these photos should help make ppl's decision easier

AV auto. So far so good, loving it. The ride comfort is just nice for me, not too hard (Myvi), not too soft (Jazz).
