u urgent or not ? my house job almost completed. so far about 70% completion. another few more weeks then settled jor. so far up to this mark of 70% completion, my contractor no screw up.......yet (cross fingers)
patient, responsible and trustworthy so far la. still another 30% to go so i wont comment good or bad yet until he settle for me 100% done then only i give my rating.

puchong area specialty, but now doing my place at shah alam. if u want, then i can give u his number, but only after my house settled. that's why i ask urgent or not. i trying to move in b4 CNY so gotta rush abit.

i extend 5 feet back all the way. broke down a maid room and a toilet. everything in (exclude kitchen furnishing/cabinet/hood/oven and all those electrical appliance) cost me around RM37k +/- without GST. Inside 37k includes floor tiling and the tiles itself, some plaster ceiling, knocking hacking wiring plumbing works, drainage and painting and u know la, all those "lai sui" stuff.

I think this contractor is making some jokes with me

what your alternative quote ? nowadays, its true the prices of building materials have gone up. i work opposite a huge hardware shop, and the boss and me chit chat everyday. the prices really shot up unexpectedly. even a bag of diluted chalk went up 20 sen.

I am getting about same price from another contractor which include workmanship and materials cost. Both contractors are using indo workers. I do expect higher price if the contractor hire local worker

This contractor started well during the initial stage, I was satisfied with the progress and all the sudden he start to delay the work with reason his workers were caught due to no work permit, then some equipment breakdown, then transporting some items, waiting for order, rainy season, and keep repeating same since April until now. Till now work has been done only 40% but had requested me to pay about 75% since his mistake to quote me lower and now he has to cover the material cost but ask my favour to pay first (In April & May). Last one week, this guy never answer my call or reply my messages.

Guys, please beware with this contractor and and don't fall to this trap, I suspect he might run similar business with different name.

Project started: April 8 2015
Total cost 10K.
Paid as of May 18 2015 7.3K

still got a week more to go. so far 90% completion, no complaints yet. plaster ceiling on the last segment and abit more towards the kitchen part. when completed only i can say if this contractor is 100% ok to be recommended or not. usually now is the touchy critical part. by end of completion, most contractors got tidak apa attitude 1. very screwed up 1. so far this one still very responsible......for now lah.

mahem if he screw up anything now i will bang balls. my cabinet due to arrive tomorrow and he has some stuff to do with my cabinet contractors. i wanna see whether he will chap this and that as according to his statement. he say he will clean the place for me la, do the minor works la all FOC. even after i move in he willing to come over and do the small bits for me. all small small thing he say no charge, but i'm sure oredi factor in from beginning liao.

so bro, wait abit more first ok ? once settled then i just hand out the number and contact here. if any tung gua tau fu happen now, i rather not give out his number. sked u all later come hantam me left right front center.

I just want to vent my frustration here. I recently enlisted the help of MH Power Engineering through Lowyat to install some items in my house which requires drilling. It was just a simple task of making holes in the wall and hang the items. We agreed on the specific day to carry out the tasks which I applied leave, seek approval from the condo management and even double confirmed so that they would do it. However, the lady who is in charged suddenly bailed on me and messaged me during midnight saying that she had other "business deals" and cancelled promptly but rescheduled 5 days later. I was angry and confronted her of her irresponsibility and unprofessionalism.

I told her that if she wouldn't do her job then I wouldn't recommend her company at all due to her unreliability. I said I would ask the condo management to not use her service for future endeavor for other tenants. Instead of apologizing, this lady whose name is Gail, lashed out at me saying that I'm cyberbullying her and her company can sue me because I threatened to leave a bad review (serious?). She went on to say they only handle big businesses and she only accepted my request because she was kind enough. Furthermore, she attacked me on a personal level, saying that I was childish and very embarrassing that I dunno how to drill a wall. I was like WTF? Subsequently, she just asked me to find another contractor to do the job. Seriously, I think I really need some background check before enlisting people's help.
