QUOTE(Hell Fire @ Aug 26 2006, 11:37 PM) guardioo, ur one of the wizz member right @_@ which one is u lol Oh yea, tomolo FINAL will be using projector to broadcast the game *keep imagining that someone got monster kill....* *volume up to teh max* QUOTE(ezinger @ Aug 27 2006, 12:05 AM) Lol. Guardioo is too busy to be playing DotA liaos. Besides, Guardioo sucks at it anyway. kekeke ; pBtw, some of the Wizz team members are ex-NBTD counter-strike players, e.g Preysquall. Preysquall also used to play Starcraft and Warcraft in the previous years of WCG.MY, each time making it at least to the Final 8. |

QUOTE(kev da man @ Aug 26 2006, 09:45 PM) its a new arena, there are hiccups sure to bound in every corner, i still do not understand why some people still need to be spoon fed. and the fact that you yourselves add a disclamer stating that "no i am not his friend" etc, etc etc doesnt mean you are on the same camp. MORE WHINESSpoonfed? Okay, so i should be content with having to wait for 6 hours? I will not whine if the marshall would tell me to come back later after 6hours. Instead, he told me that the game will be up at 11AM when it should've start at 10AM (We were informed to arrive at 9, any team failed to reach before time will be DQ). So i waited 1 hour since there's nothing much i can do. After 1 hour, they told me it will be our turn soon. Since i'd already missed my lecture class, i might as well wait there. At 2PM, they told us it will be up at 4PM. What do you think i should do? My team and I played with fatigues afterward i'd been a marshall too, smaller scale, but nevertheless an official event. And the very least i do not mislead the gamers with inaccurate and ineffective instructions. Suggestions: Better briefing next time by the Head Marshall. Please do include a checklist on Do and Don't. The marshalls aren't trained in critical decisions making. when problems surface, they could at the very least listen to some suggestions, instead of dragging time. The overall event ended well. All the games were completed around 8PM. The marshalls did a goodjob on trying to be fair to everyone, but did a poor job on keeping the players informed with what's on and what's not. |

QUOTE(revivar @ Aug 27 2006, 01:22 AM) MORE WHINES you must understand that not all marshalls know when which group will end, but nevertheless, you should look for the head game marshall at the island instead. i have a feeling that you asked one of the crews which most of the time are assigned other jobs and will not know the current situation of any game at any given time Spoonfed? Okay, so i should be content with having to wait for 6 hours? I will not whine if the marshall would tell me to come back later after 6hours. I'd like to add some comments on the event. First of all, I'd say In2 is very friendly, however, I don't think they did a great job on the event... although I hate to believe they really are the only qualified ones in Malaysia.. or at least when Eddy was taking care of things..
1. It's so stupid to have the announcement loud speaker right next to the competition area. 2. It's more stupid to put counter-strike (which is what I played) RIGHT beside the loudspeaker... and not FIFA? or perhaps dota, ok whatever that don't require too much communication. 3. Since some teams (like mine) communicate a lot, why put opponents right opposite us? that's retarded.. ok, perhaps is for their ease in setup, whatever, not too important. 4. Bing bang.. what the hell is that man? put such LOUD shitty i really mean shitty music... while people are playing... is that stupid or what? when it was hosted at midvalley before, the activity and booths and so on were in a different hall. the gaming area was silent. that was good. 5. us east msian team had to spend quite a bit to get over to kl... well and we stil haven't received our prelims prizes yet.. they are so slow.. its like, they dont care about east msia... since KL players dominate... its so frustrating.. we aren't even given a chance to improve.. spend so much so far.. zzzzz.... oh yeah, prize money == RM0.. crappy everglide mousepad and 2nd place.. gets a SHOE BAG LOL!#! 6. almost forgot to add, the gaming arena was SO BLOODY COLD. even my teammate who loves really cold temp so much, had to complain its too cold.. i had to bring few cups of hot chocolate to tourney area, only to be told no drinks allowed. can't aim properly that way.. whine perhaps, but cold is really cold. im sure a lot will agree with me on this one. you really could feel the air blowing at you yeah we lost, im pissed, we made our own errors, but then, in2 is regardless not too smart on quite a number of things... ill give them props for being friendly and lenient in some parts.
