Ok i got a wierd MI Powerbank question.

I remembering seeing somewhere (cannot remember) that you can charge the powerbank and also power up your phone. Any danger in this like overheating?

Also i got this crazy idea of using one powerbank to charge up another powerbank.

Basically daisy chain the power bank. First unit gets power from adapter then plug the output of the first unit to the input of the second unit.

I tried it and seems to work but worry if got any damage long term charging in this way.
*
You said it yourself, 'crazy idea'. Better don't do this. In theory, the 1st PB will heat up and take a long time to fully charged since it has to charge up the 2nd PB. I think there is no harm on the 2nd PB though.

Btw. I've heard that it's the oleophobic coating that makes the glass so tough and hard to scratch. But the coating wears off...?
*
No, oleo coating is for anti-finger print only, no other purpose and it wears out fast, so its a gimmick selling point only.

I got one at RM15 but you won't be able to buy it.  laugh.gif

It's not that hard to find an iem which may well sound better than Piston2 if you look around for bargain. But for lazy people, probably Piston2 is as good as it gets for RM50 I suppose.
*
I'm surprised at how low quality you keep saying Piston 2 is.

I'm not an audiophile, just someone who listen to music at leisure. I have multiple sub RM100 iem and 2 RM199 sony iem with dynamic driver with heavier bass (quite good review) and 1 other balanced armature (the cheapest one with practically zero bass but very clear sound).

When I first used Piston 2 on my S4, I dislike it, it sounds hollow and music sort of crack. Then after adjusting thru S4 adapt sound to fine tune the IEM AND using it for at least 10-20 hours or so, it somehow turns out sounding better and better. Oh, it still could not beat those mid-high range IEM, its bass is not as good as my RM199 dynamic driver IEM, its sound is not as sharp as my ba unit but it has clearer sound than that dd iem and much better bass than that ba one, thus it turned out to be better balance than both my RM199 iems.

High volume seems to crack it a bit while both my IEM can withstand it without issue thus the Piston do have major weakness BUT at RM50, for me, it beats out all my sub or par RM100 IEM by far. So still wonder why you're complaining it like its worth only RM50 OR LESS. For me, it already worth RM100 but still not really on the range of RM200 ones tho, as mentioned above, its somehow balance up. Those mentioned better than RM300, really, don't know what RM300 IEM they use, fake ones?

About the Mi Sound Enhancer, depends on what type of music u listen ba?  hmm.gif
*
Hmm I tried a range of music. I still didn't like how it sounded with the Mi Sound Enhancer. But that's just my personal preference lol.

I also tried testing the Pistons through a portable DAC. It sounds more fun now hahaha.

Gonna let it burn in a bit more. It defo sounds better than it was straight out of the box.

Misconception 2: The oleophobic coating, not the glass itself, is what's causing the scratches, so use sand paper to grind the coating away!!!!!!!!!

DON'T!. According to Corning's own documents (link below), the anti-brasion/oleophobic coating on the Gorilla Glass actually provides better scratch resistance than "naked" glass surface.

Corning performed an experiment where half of the Gorilla glass was treated with the coating and the other half was naked Gorilla Glass, and they rubbed silicon carbide sand paper on it. You can see the resulting picture on the link below. To use their words, there was a "significant scratching on the non-coated region whereas few visible scratches existed on the coating".

If you already have scratches on your Gorilla Glass screen, then it would've been worse had the coating not been there.

Any coating on a screen will provide additional layer of protection vs scratches but in reality, not really any difference.

Seems to me there is a difference...

So the question is if the coating wears off, will it still be as scratch resistant...? Or do SP makers use a lesser coating than what Corning uses?

1. Try to plug in the mikey without press on the button.
2. Select Mikey IF prompted by the phone to select mikey or earphones.
3. Run Mikey app. Then click the Mikey button see if the click counter works.
