Hi guys. My father broke his S4 LCD, how much for the replacement eh ? I've tried asking Samsung at Pandan Indah, RM636. Samsung at KL Festival City RM560. Can I get it any cheaper ? But does cheaper means less quality ? Thanks.

Yes.. chances are high that "outside" sourced LCDs are not original.

There are few shop in Lowyat plaza offering such service but i remember cost wise RM400 to 450.

Samsung LCD came with 2 layers the screen and the digital and if only screen crack you can change the Screen only that cost Rm200 to 250 and if the digital part will cost almost the same.

head over to sammobile.com and find Malaysian 5.1.1 firmware, use Odin to flash

i just notice , when boot up the screen will show "nextel" a Carrier company, if i flash it tru odin and choose any region firmware, will it do??? im afraid that it wont go with the fon, last time i flash tru odin on my s2 it go hardwired.

you need to check in setting - status to determine your model number, then do a google search to see if it is international s4 LTE. If it is international version then there shouldn't be any issues when flashing Msian firmware

i go to "about device" then "status" then it says on Device status as = "Official"

youll need to double check whether your model number is GT I9505
it is at ' model number' under 'about device' section
If it is then you could search for XME ( malaysia firmware) at sammobile

What worry me is, its ok for me just flash it?
cause when boot up n off the device after samsung logo, it show a "nextel" logo its a mexico carrier company.
i use maxis sim and get 4g connection.

already read threat at xda, but mo avail to

the nextel logo is caused by different firmware, flashing other official firmware doesnt cause any issues except wiping your current data.. if you're still unconfident, you may PM other forumers such as the TS.. they might be able to help..

ok one last thing, why when i tried to ota, it show "registering device" then "processing failed" just wonder...

and the seller said it nothing they can do, the fon we sell cant be update it stuck at 4.4.2... ( i do not know if the technical guy is lazy or what ever)
