Anyone with I9500 Black Edition... Have you guys received Lollipop update? Mine still stuck at 4.4 and i can see normal edition and i9505 already got 5.0.1 update.

Nope. You are going to be stucked there for a long long time. You can download India's lollipop for the S4 black edition and flashed it yourself using Odin. The rom can be downloaded from Sammimobile.

No more. I have given up on the S4 already.

Most probably a malfunction on the antenna part.

I bought a 2nd-hand Black Edition. It had a custom recovery and ran on 4.4.2 (not sure stock BE firmware or regular S4 firmware). Feeling battery drain and overheating, I went to SC and they changed a new motherboard (KNOX-free again yay) and flashed new (but old) firmware, 4.4.2. I'm not sure if this is BE firmware (according to SC, it is). But I see the wallpapers are the same. How to identify BE firmware?

On my previous S4s (love this model, kept coming back to it), I was rooted and had no problems. Now on stock 4.4.2, I have issues writing to SD card. Trying to decide if I should root it or flash with the regular S4 Lollipop.

Does the Lollipop update fix this issue?
Is the Lollipop update stable? Better or worse than KitKat? The SC recommends I stick to KK for now, for stability.

My GT-I9500 S4 signal reception is damn poor. Compare to my wife Alcatel IdolX, given the same area, when my phone only received EDGE, her phone always give H or H+. Fedup with S4 adi, feel wanna change phone adi.

How to see these details and confirm? Can I just download 4.4.2 (regular or Black) from Sam Mobile and flash?
