i feel the performance drop using Official loli after upgrade from KK. even after FR the phone. anyone having same issue? do we need to reformat the sd card as well?

should pay extra and get 5yrs warranty ..wow

Mine 2nd hand and the owner want bigger screen and sale this with reasonable price. I enjoy the additional 2 years ++ warranty...

but i manage to solve the problem

wat i did after the problem i did hard rest aka fatory reset all my data was wiped but the phone back to normal working condition and was rooted

as for the data lucky i had kies backup few weeks back so restore it doing that

it did improve my battery life and the fon is a lot cooler now

im a happy camper for now

can change phone lo when warranty over.

Well my Lollipop experience has been quite the opposite. Smooth, but horrendous battery life (the culprit here is gpsd keep on running)

ah that is based on the KK usage and Lolli usage. Previously with KK was smooth and less laggy.
i think i did mentioned on my previous post. example: Opening whatsapp and then replying takes a longer time. Anyway i have already FR the phone and it is still same. Do i still need to format the external SD card. I did not do it since i inserted it since 2 yrs ago i got the phone

Try to check one of the apps that might be activating GPS or detailed location in the background.

Install battery apps such as Gsam Battery monitor to check which apps whack the most batt when draining occur. If it gets warms while idle and draining occur, can also use apps like Watchdog Lite to check which apps whacking CPU and battery when the warm/hot/draining occur.

As far as concern SD card will not slow down your phone unless data for apps you mentioned stored in SD card.

I've moved all my partially stored apps (allowed before KitKat), from SD card to my base memory storage. Luckily its a 32GB phone. It sort of solved all my SD card issue JUST before I upgraded to Kitkat and turned out to be Lollipop. Now my SD just activately used for photos storage directly from the stock camera app and archiving docs, older mp3, movies while all other active files, such as ttpod mp3, current ebooks are stored directly in the base memory storage. Still got 12GB of base memory there, so no worries for me.

Thinking with current 32GB S6 and above, without SD Card, my current usage already hitting 30GB combination of base and sd-card storage, really not enuf for longer term photos storage.

I don't use my phone as photo storage cause this is high risk and usually i will tried to free as much as space as possible to ensure my phone have sufficient disc space to move around.

Use cloud la. It's much safer than risking ur photos being wiped by a corrupted card. This is 2015 ffs
