QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jan 15 2007, 12:01 PM) stolen i don't think i've heard before la.. but for car-jack ones.. a friend of mine kena before.. but i think stolen is possible, as i know someone who has her jazz stolen as well... The reason i asked becoz' I think it's not necessary to install those steering or brake locks. Since the car has an immobilizer, you cannot start the car without the coded key. The key is not only a key, it has a built in circuit, without it the car cannot be started. Even if someone has your alarm remote, he/she also cannot start the car without the coded key. Even if cut another key to the same shape also cannot start the car. Which is why i want to know did anyone had their car stolen.

QUOTE(havenzhiv @ Jan 15 2007, 03:07 PM) Now this is new to me, you mean that if we loose the key, we cant turn on the engine? don't ever lose the key, otherwise you need to get the spare, then you have to get them to make a new set of key, otherwise people who got the lost key can easily steal your car. If you lose the alarm remote, then it's still ok, since u can still start the engine after keying in the security code with the key in the ignition, if you lose the key, sorry la... cannot start the car at all.

However compensation is based on what you work as / making. So the compensation wasn't that great but better then nothing.

QUOTE(andyjyneo @ Feb 5 2007, 05:09 AM) where did you guys buy mugen visors? how much does it cost? i'm thinking of buying for my accord got mine for RM150.... maybe u can get cheaper.... I know can get same design for RM90 but without the mugen words. Added on February 5, 2007, 11:37 amQUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Feb 4 2007, 01:03 AM) for city vtec.. shouldn't be much of a problem hitting 180-185km/h stock, but the ride is way too floaty due to the high center of gravity and suspension setup.. so be careful if you wanna go that fast mod ler... add strut bars, anti-roll bars, change to sport suspension. Confirm even 200km/h straight also not floaty. However i dun recommend you take corners at those speeds. This post has been edited by unitron: Feb 5 2007, 11:37 AM

QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Feb 14 2007, 07:28 PM) Answer to that question would be No. (zzz.. LYN requires min. 10 char for reply ) Are you absolutely sure ??? Coz' at first i also thought it shouldn't have a torque converter since it's CVT and not a conventional auto gearbox. however certain experience and question with no definite answer i had made me skeptical. 1) Dynoed the car, and the power loss at the wheels is almost more then what a normal conventional auto gearbox power loss is. 2) How does Honda implement the creep (car moving by just being in D) without a torque converter ? 3) How does the engine disengage from the transmission ? (manual = clutch, auto = torque converter, CVT = ????????)

QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Feb 15 2007, 10:55 AM) you can do a little read up on the articles by Wong KN @ TOVA.. it was mentioned in the article.. I did previously, but also read somewhere else that Honda implemented it with a torque converter to get the creep feature. So now dunno who is correct. I went to Honda Plant (visit with the other honda car clubs), but they had strict rules preventing us from asking questions. Otherwise I want to ask the engineers there.

QUOTE(yeahh @ Feb 15 2007, 07:36 PM) 205/40/17 or 205/45/17 any difference in performance or ride smoothness between these two thickness? wat brands and model of the tyres is recommended nowadays? preferbly city driving ... a fren has recommended michelin tyres ... but not sure which model isit the car is not suited for 205/45/17.... 205/40/17 is the correct choice. But i think 205/45/17 will give a more comfortable ride... more rubber mah... to maintain the correct rolling radius 185/55/15 <-- stock vtec 195/45/16 <-- hard to find 205/45/16 <-- the best for looks and performance 205/40/17 <-- go for looks, if upgrade suspension --> get free massage

QUOTE(the_registered @ Feb 21 2007, 01:40 AM) Want to ask a nooby question here How to unlock the car doors when the engine is still running? wahaha... wait till i tell my friends, sure laugh until pecah perut.... Anyway the answer is just pull the lock. You pull the driver door, all the doors unlock, u pull the passenger door, only that one door unlock. However if you are talking on how to unlock the doors when u are outside the car with the engine running, then i cannot help u there. But i wouldn't know how u manage to lock the doors with the engine running and no one inside.
