Just watched The AmazingSpiderman 2...I knowselow. Didn’t really interest me that much when it was first released...now with Tom Holland new movie I thought better to check out this one

Looks like each time Spider-Man movie with 3 super villain, the movie kantoi

The Tobey Spider-Man 3 also got 4 super villain and kantoi

Now Spidey with Marvel and Holland, maybe they won’t make this mistake I hope

war for the planets of the apes.... i find it not as good as what some reviews say.

the story is darker, focused almost entirely on the apes; little on the humans except the colonel.

hence, i find the story a bit lacking on the human side incl the warring factions which should be given more story and charcter building.

ape characters very well done; excellent job by andy serkis and woody harrelson.

the special effects are no doubt first class; watch it in dsthdma audio!

although it is "assumed" this 3rd episode brings the trilogy to a close, no brainer we will see andy serkis return in some ape movie.

Unfortunately box office returns not so good, so maybe further sequels doesn’t seem so hopeful...even though it’s supposed to be the close of the trilogy but you know how transformers each time saying it’s the last one?

Higher production cost/lower box office vs the previous sequel...in the eyes of the production company = bad returns

Beautyand the beast #1 for now....Soon to be surpassed by Thor:Ragnarok (maybe, but not likely), Justice League (maybe not likely also) and Star Wars Ep 8 (highly likely)

Writer: Sherry White
Stars:
Sally Hawkins, Ethan Hawk

Biography of Maud Lewis, a folk artist of 20th century Canada and
later became known internationally.
Stricken with rheumatoid arthritis since childhood.
The film, partially shot in Ireland and other parts of Canada.

She loves to listen to jazz, drink beer, smoke, paint, and living
with her Aunt Ida (Gabrielle Rose).

One day, Sally Hawkins(Maud Lewis) was at a dry-goods store when a
stocky man Ethan Hawke(Everett Lewis), a fish peddler walks in and asks
the proprietor to write a notice advertising for a maid.

He lives in a tiny wooden house with only a couple of dogs and a
flock of chickens for company.
She later takes up the job with him as a live-in housekeeper.

This film is the story of two lonely people who find comfort
with each other. This film is also not a story about fame.

It’s a love story in which neither of the characters ever utters
the three words lovers normally do.
It’s a story of pain and difficulty and cold, and also of happiness.

This is a remarkably movie.

Less singing? It's a children's movie. Then what else are a beauty and a beast supposed to do in order to fall in love? tongue.gif Oh wait, there's a TV series on that.

Anyone having the Arrixxx UHD 4K HDR movie? It is a 10bit BT2020 HDR 4K movie but I don't understand why the brightness and the color is so dull when on HDR vivid picture mode. Other 1080p movies looks better than it.

God of War (2017) or its original title "Dang kou feng yun" was quite enjoyable.. Very colorful and detailed costumes. Couple shots here and there of lush green lands. Starring Sammo Hung and Wenzhuo Zhao. I'd rate it 4/5 for Chinese action movies.

A Netflix film, Wheelman (2017).. A getaway driver for a bank robbery realizes he has been double crossed and races to find out who betrayed him. Kinda have to agree with some internet comments.. Baby driver...meet.. Daddy driver.. biggrin.gif .. I'd rate it a 2.5/5 on account of the TV drama episode-like plot and not having enough choreographed drive scenes.

the special effects are probably worth a second watch in 4k when available.

i first watched transformers last knight in 1080p dd5.1.

i just watched it again in 4k hdr ddtruehd.

ooo... probably the most visually stunning movie i hv ever watched!

even when the story is crap, michael bay has made this one into a masterpiece of special effects, imo.
