in fact, it is more like Full Metal Jacket 1987.

good story, unusual circumstances, surprises...

the initial training part in hacksaw, i think, is inspired by a lengthier and more dramatic version in full metal jacket.

I hv just watched Hacksaw, but I only managed to enjoyed it in 2.1 sound as I do not hv a multi channel HT system.
How is the experience in multi channel? was it as good as Saving Private Ryan? SPR got demo-ed often last time in surround sound HT systems

Saving private ryan movie has more action than hacksaw ridge movie.

It's worth watching...

Personally, I'd rather watch Forest Gump for 19th time!

I find this movie nice, the start is slow, once enter war zone is good.

Best so far for 2017.

My view after watching last night. Dam good sound. Bass department is nice. Especially the navy fire the big guns

Slow??? Even snails move faster.. haha.. Didn't get to see any action till about 1 hour 5 minutes in! Had to keep reminding myself that folks mentioned it's good and be patient. Got rewarded in the end.
