Yeah, the romance did throw me off a bit.. But as soon as I blocked that out and focused on the underlying script... began to enjoy it more... IMO, the philosophy, physics and drama were for lack of a better word "Real".. Unlike some syfy flicks, that are more magical than scientific..

Obviously the likes of Interstellar & Martian are like 6/5..

yeah .passenger is good movie and story line for me.
kinda have that tick shivering at the end scene.

Actually Arrival really not the movie I expect it ro be. I expect it like independence day movie with a lots of action and villain alien. At last, the Alien didn't threat the humanity at all.

However, the movie can kept me glued to my seat without feel sleepy. I can rate It 7/10.

Hell or high water, this is about love between brothers, perhaps will make you think it's ok to rob banks !

here's one for action-violence fans... headshot.

sort of a jason bourne-ip man-ong bak combo... but crude with a lot more insane violence.

indonesian iko uwais of raid redemption and raid2 stars in this one, doing his own fight scenes.

the film has several good fighters, but lacks the fine skills of yuen-wo ping, donny yen or tony jaa.

uwais still has some way to go before getting to the high end of martial arts-fighting movies.

still, worth a watch, 3/5.

You got me at the mention of Iko Uwais and The Raid movies. I still occasionally watch The Raid movies, simply for the fight scenes. Upon seeing your recommendation, I fired it up.. Yeah, it's an Indonesian Jason Bourne type flick.. Very good movie for fans of unbelievable brutality..

We than have Kate Beckinsale headlining this.

You know the chick in a tight leather outfits for the movie Underworld, where she hunts down and kill werewolves because she is a vampire. Remember? oh, she was also quite popular in a chick flick call Serendipity (2001) (Not to be confused with Josh Wheeldon's Serenity (2005)).

And here in lays the first issue. You expect her to kick ass, and she does not...

Then you have Wentworth Miller writing this. Yes, the same Wentworth Miller who was in Prison Break (TV Series). I understand in L.A. everyone who has a job, imagine themselves in another job, and it got ridiculous here.

The final offence... Vince Filippone. It is my opinion that he did a butcher job here... The edit of the film made absolutely NO SENSE!!

And and, I don't even know why Lucas Till (new Macgyver) is in this movie... I suppose everyone needs to pay rent...

Okay, the premise of the movie is sound.

I am afraid the delivery.... leaves much to be desired...

patriots day is an intense drama thriller about the 2013 boston marathon bombings which killed 3 people and injured hundreds.

a pretty lengthy movie but keeps the drama keeps u going.

other than the fictionalized main character played by mark wahlberg, the account is pretty much the true event.

as a movie, i give it 3.5/5.
