Tried manual gearshift and all aids OFF at rFactor...started to get the hang of it

Let say you reaching a corner at gear 7.
You brake until speed reach less than 100mph?
At the same time downshift to gear 1?

What if reaching a corner in gear 3 and above?
Brake and exited the corner in gear 3 or brake and downshift to lower gear and then
attack the corner.
Different story if gear 3 is possible for the car to enter and exited the corner.

huh? which 1? is it the 1st pit? i know the 2nd pit i lost control at U corner there...
maybe i learnt "tokyo drift" too much ytday b4 race with prinze...

jz now see the replay, is 2nd pit i "drift".. but just drift for while only... later lost control... not success drift leh...

i looking forward for the vcr of the grp 1 tonight...

pls check ur connection b4 race... bcos ytday ur ping is quite high and unstable also, sometimes 200+, sometimes 300+, sometime 400+ our usual pinging mostly is 30+ ~ 50+ only
i follow ur tail also dont know how to drive, sudden ur car at very far, sudden ur car in front me, sudden ur car overlapped me... even want to bang u also hard, ur car keep "flying" around in front me...

so prinze beware abt it, u may face the same problem too if he overtaked and in front u... if worst, laggy cause banging...

only 30 minutes of practice... that's what happened. During practice, i turn all aids off and did 1.45 in the 1st sector i was faster than adrian but always spun in 2nd and 3rd sector

Raikkonen : The first corner can be taken at 1st gear, but dont downshift straight to 1st from 7th coming into the corner, but downshift to 3rd first. Stay on 1st until you come out of 2nd corner.

I think i set up the car wrong yesterday, the car was very nervous infront Last nite after the qualifying, i learned a valuable lesson. Last nite, i've played rFactor online on the Canada track in MP4-19.

Without proper setup, i clocked 1.41' with the car sliding all over the place. Then the other guys we are playing with, share some setups (you can send setups while playing online in rFactor ) and guess what? I did 1'22 in my first try!!!!

So my advise is, i think all who are in this league are very fast racers, just need a proper setup to shine

Malaysian GP race preview

This week the LYN F1 League will race in the ultra moden Sepang circuit in Malaysia. Leading the way is Adrian from Ferrari who got his first career pole in 1'29.261. He was absolutely delighted as he didn't score any points in the last race. He said " The team has done a fantastic job to get me on the front row of the grid and I have to thank them for that. A lot of hard work was done overnight and tomorrow looks promising, but let's wait and see. This is always a tough race but I'm certainly looking forward to it."

Second was last week winner, young_soul in 1'30.148. Obviously he will try his best in today's race. Gkl clocked the 3rd fastest time while 2nd place finisher in Australia, woe only can achieve 4th fastest. Sp3cter and stagy was given 2 seconds penalty in the session, and those two driver will be fire up to prove a point or two in the race.

Meanwhile, penzman missed out the qualifying session yesterday because of illness and we hope he'll make a speedy recovery. A newcomer to the league ccy clocked the 9th fastest time. Meanwhile poor setup has hampered evoHahn challenge in today race as he was only able to set 10th fastest.

In other news, hiwatari pulled out of the league so that he can concerntrate on his studies. Hopefully today will be clean race and not like the previous one. And surely lag excuses cant be used again.

Nice Preview summary there...

Evo: i'll assign u as the person who incharge of writing preview in every race... oh.. i mean the website, so u'll b incharge of doing, ok..

While others like Race Admin will b incharge of race grouping, confirm attendance, taking care of complains, etc.

Normal racer which can fully get information of the race easily, knowing which group to join, starting grid line up and more.. especially 1 thing, Complain form to steward team (a.k.a Race Admin), i think everyone needs it..

The web now is on the development stage, and is a custom build for LYN F1C Club!

1st sector can do faster than Adrian and with all aids off? Then 2nd and 3rd sector should be no problem also wat... I really hate the first sector..."fat" corner reminds me of the endless spinning in Silverstone that time had all aids on...but default settings

Yup.
Need to KNOW the circuit well and which corner what gear to use.
Push the gas slowly to avoid spinning...once push to the max...then change gear.
Damn...I changed gear just by using my middle finger
So cool.
Felt like a real F1 driver.
Driving like that, need to be more careful...so easy to hit others.
No I know how Kimi felt when Alonso brake suddenly at Silverstone in front of
Kimi.
No margin for error.

During practice I did 1:36:xxx, I use 3 radiators.
Did not mess with my Front Anti-Roll and Brake Bias yet.
Some guys says adjust a bit those two to make better braking.
So, I messed with it during Qualifying...tak sempat during practice.

Used 2 radiators during qualifying.
On my hot lap I was cruising...don't want to heat up my engine.
It worked slightly...1:35:1XX...a full second faster.
After my qualifying, still has 4 liters of fuel...might be faster if buang another 3 liters.
But, 2nd on the grid quite happy lah
My tiny strategy worked.

After quali, joined rFactor...so kewl
