yes, always charge in current country currency, lets your local banks convert to RM later. Its much cheaper.

U no need to headache yourself at oversea try to nego conversion rates with them.

Totally agree.... http://www.forbes.com/sites/geoffreymorris...-home-currency/
It's the Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) which makes it more expensive.

Even those countries, just politely telling them your card doesn't have PIN. It will go through.
I did this in China.

If you are using Malaysia issued UnionPay card, the cashier will still asking you for the PIN as well. Just simply press any 6 digits number will do.

Unionpay card are much better than Visa and MC..
some merchant give extra discount if you use unionpay  thumbup.gif
the statement abit confuse..
you say charge in RM instead of baht, but then the RM exchange rate is higher..
i thought bank exchange rate always better than merchant exchange rate?so charging in that particular country currency would be better?  hmm.gif

Luckily when I was in Germany, never asked for pin. tongue.gif Even if they ask, I will say no pin. laugh.gif
Yes, always charge in their local currency. smile.gif

Most merchants allow you to choose, choose HKD instead of MYR. Let the bank convert later on. It's cheaper this way.
