Assuming if my M2Cards' CL is 15k, so I will need to pledge another 5k in FD to get this card right?
What are the chances to get it? It's because neither my payslip nor EA form shows I have an annual income of 100k.

By having this card, I can still continue holding my M2Cards right? I supposed the CL will be shared? unsure.gif

I'm still considering if I should pledge for FD though the amount is small, not sure if it is worth the hassle. laugh.gif

Have you pledge FD for this card?
RM20K is enough? I read from others thread they said have to be RM30K CL or pledge the gap between current CL to RM30k ?
*
No, I haven't. Not in hurry to get.
Signature is 20k, Premier is 30k.

I'm not even surprised that if other banks will follow Maybank's footsteps eventually...

what i know is:
the must have :

1)WIse card - good for many things, grocery, utilities, petrol etc,  you apply for spouse also, monthly can get RM100 x 2.
2) Watami - 3% CB, minimal spend RM1500 per quarter, max CB RM150 per Q.
Others:

1)UOB CB - 1- 5%, got cap got quota, me not planning to use yet, kind of complicated, ?CB not guaranteed.
2)MBB Ikhwan - 5% CB petrol grocery, RM 50 pm, good but only for Fri And Sat, not for me.
Another must have:

1)PBB VS - 6% CB max RM60 pm.  superb can pay bills online, get 6%.
2)MBB VS - 5% CB grocery and petrol max RM88 pm, and free lounge at airport.
Want more 0%BT, get this:
1)MBF Card
2)Citibank card
They regularly offer me 0% BT .

Extra:
AIA insurance- use PBB AIA card - 2%CB, max RM500 pa.

ya, i don't use any pin at all. unless you are referring to some countries overseas that you need to key in your pin.
*
Even those countries, just politely telling them your card doesn't have PIN. It will go through.
I did this in China.

BKK doesn't need pin.

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jul 7 2015, 11:06 AM)
some unmanned transaction, you have no choice but to use PIN..
e.g. petrol station, train station and vending machine smile.gif
*
Oh, I have never used at these places. laugh.gif Good to know though.
Actually whenever I'm in China, I usually use UnionPay debit card. laugh.gif

oversea.. especially those country that use pin instead of signature..
e.g. europe
Unionpay card are much better than Visa and MC..
some merchant give extra discount if you use unionpay  thumbup.gif
the statement abit confuse..
you say charge in RM instead of baht, but then the RM exchange rate is higher..
i thought bank exchange rate always better than merchant exchange rate?so charging in that particular country currency would be better?  hmm.gif
*
Luckily when I was in Germany, never asked for pin. tongue.gif Even if they ask, I will say no pin. laugh.gif
Yes, always charge in their local currency. smile.gif

QUOTE(Alec.Yong @ Jul 7 2015, 01:12 PM)
If you are using Malaysia issued UnionPay card, the cashier will still asking you for the PIN as well. Just simply press any 6 digits number will do.

Yes, my UnionPay debit card has pin no., so I'm like a Chinese there. laugh.gif

After use my MAYBANK 2 CARD PLATINUM for 4 months, i tried my luck to applied MAYBANK VS last week and out of my expectation, the card was approved with in one weeks and my CL had been double.

Maybe due to recent benefit downgrade, Maybank is more generous on approved the VS card

From your previous posts, you were asking the amount of FD to pledge for this card. So did you eventually pledge for it to get it? smile.gif

Nope, at the end no need to pledge any FD.
I just submit as a new application and they approved the card with double my current CL

Cool, what did you submit as supporting documents?
Thanks.

Now had been increase due to increase in commission.

Even 3.5k SGD is already sufficient to make up 100k MYR annually, all thanks to our weak MYR. Thanks for the information though. smile.gif

Yes, but you will need to keep the FD.
Once you withdraw your FD, your VS will be retracted back.

I'm a loyal use of their financial services for more than 10 years laugh.gif

Took them a while to offer me a VS.

As for the groceries, pretty sure it applies to most usual one except for departmental stores like some part of Aeon.
*
I supposed you pledged FD for VS? Or you didn't eventually and got it?
