QUOTE(mystvearn @ Jan 19 2015, 07:04 AM) In auto, it is either on, or off. No positional lamps. Maybe lamp on during day times? Yeah i agree. Need to adjust it to see if I can get some range without annoying drivers on the opposite side of the road. Otherwise I've read where some Preve owners have changed to the Osram nightbreaker. Any Suprima owners tried any new bulbs yet?I think it is due to maybe the Suprima's light is lower compared to myvi? |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Jan 19 2015, 03:26 PM) I see. Maybe I don't really care about the lights. Will compare with other cars after this. I believe that only applies if you switch to HID. Not sure what the regulation is on changing to a brighter halogen bulb, but if i am not wrong, i think it is allowed. That is why sometimes when I drive I forget to turn on the lights IINM, there are some cases that the lights in the Preve burnout too quickly? Maybe they made the lights less bright so that it does not blow. However, since the DRL's are always on, then wouldn't it generate heat and burn the normal lamps? I don't know how long the lights will last anyway. Also, when changing lights, will it not break the law-JPJ and their HID rule thingy. |

QUOTE(merinyu @ Jan 23 2015, 07:31 PM) I'm looking at 215/45R17 If you want a well balanced tyre, go for Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2. If you want all out dry grip, go for Yokohama AD08R. Have a few friends using that and absolutely love it except for when it rains.Michelin PS3 - RM440/pc Weng Heng Bukit Kemuning (Nov-13) Michelin PS3-RM450/pc KLH Car & Tyre Service Jalan Ipoh (Jun-14) (Include balancing) Unfortunately my tyres bunga still long way to go. |

Not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this but please feel free to share.
My brakes seem to squeal. usually happens when slow braking. The brakes also feel a little soft and today had to do an emergency brake at 80km/h and felt that the car should have braked faster. I've taken up this issue with the people at the COE at least twice but never has my problem been ratified. My question is. Could it be the brake pads and if so, besides that standard ones, what would be recommended based on personal experience. Thanks. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Mar 17 2015, 12:05 PM) Same case here. Fortunately I still can bare it. So I'm not the only one facing this. Good to know. Currently at 19k millage waiting for 20k. I've spoken to my mechanic (Not proton) and he said the likely list of problems could be rust, dirt on disc, pads maybe wore out, and as for the soft feeling, we might just need to bleed out the brakes. If anyone got theirs fixed please do share. Thanks.Currently clocked at 15k, will only send to service at 20k. I do however feel lag on breaking. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Mar 24 2015, 07:38 PM) Absolutely agreed. Agreed. Before I purchased my Suprima, I tried the Vios, Polo Sedan and City. Didn't find the Vios and Polo Sedan interesting but the City is a very nice car with good specs. At the end of everthing, I decided to go with the Suprima as it made me the happiest.Try Vios and City too, just to make sure you are solid on your decision. I'll bet you know what your heart want once you tried all those 3 models. On the downside, to be frank, the FC is not encouraging. Mine is about 9.4L/100km. The lowest I once got is about 8.5L/100KM. City scored better on that particular aspect as for comparison wise. |

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Mar 26 2015, 02:06 AM) I dont know whether my butt sensitivity has increased these past few weeks, but I am now noticing that when during idle (probably the same during driving, but because you are focused on driving u close an eye on this), the seats and steering wheel vibrates due to the harshness and vibration produced by the engine.. Anyway to remove these vibration issues? I have complained to COE about the same problem and have told me that they will replace my mountings. This was a month ago. Still have not heard back from them on stock availability. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Mar 30 2015, 05:31 PM) More or less, the sound produced is just nice. I'm not sure if people outside hear it too, but its not as (annoyingly) loud as open pod type. Has your top end suffered or is it still the same?A moderately BOV sound. K&N is about the same as mine, but I think mine is louder due to bigger pores. Lifetime warranty as well, so quite a hassle free. |

QUOTE(ceekay78 @ Mar 31 2015, 02:49 PM) to claim this, say what to proton? Just tell them there is excessive vibration. Ask them for a solution. They most likely will change your mounting.just tell them "i want u to check why my parts vibrating. and i want claim engine mounting"? is it like this mention? QUOTE(sharpex @ Apr 28 2015, 03:53 PM) how much for 20k mileage service? Nothing major for 20k. The same as 10k as I remember. The only extra I did was tire rotation and balancing which I shouldn't have ask Proton to do because they did a horrible job.need to save money on next service. using semi synthetic before. what i need to look and change? should be same like 10k service right? |

QUOTE(red4900 @ May 7 2015, 12:01 AM) Speaking of this....I've been thinking why this group is a bit quiet, compared to the Preve group. It seems Preve has more problems compared to Suprima? (brake judder, engine dies when reverse, etc don't take my words 100% I just ingat2 lupa lol) The Suprima has its fair share of issues. To me the issues seem manageable, which is why there might be less complaints. Is Suprima less problematic than Preve? Anyone can confirm? |

QUOTE(red4900 @ May 7 2015, 11:19 AM) Does Suprima share similar issues with Preve too? Not exactly similar.Weird that I'm reading diff issues in this thread vs Preve thread... Unless you guys just totally skip the shared issue with Preve and gone straight to the Preve thread to get answer... Example of issues I faced : 1. Remote boot release issues 2.Black and White video on reverse cam during hot days 3. Light vibrations during morning start ups (SC will change mounting) 4.My brakes make noise during low speed braking ( Annoying during jams) There are a few more minor issues that I can't seem to remember. But I would have to say that the biggest issue is dealing with the staff at the SC. The ones I have encountered make life hard and I have to constantly remind them and follow up regarding my parts that have been ordered. As for the car itself. I am really satisfied with what I drive and would still buy a Suprima if given a second choice for the same price range. |

QUOTE(chidori @ May 24 2015, 02:50 PM) Thanks for the info : ) The stock tires are horrible. I just changed mine after a year of use. While I do enjoy the occasional corner, the stock achiles doesn't seem to last. Mine had holes in it. Decided to try out ATR sport 2. So far I have less noise and my grip is better. But not too sure about wear yet.Few items on my to buy list for my upcoming ss 1. Hud heads up display 2. Air cond filter 3. Change tyre to michelin st3 Btw, approx how long is the lifespan of the stock achilles 2233? Hows the comfort noise? Any recommendations on accessories? Have a nice weekend! |

QUOTE(PedangGila @ Jun 4 2015, 03:50 PM) Yep it's a flaw in my eyes enough for me to cross it out from my shortlist if there's no fix for that. I almost got into accident when that stupid wiper popped out. So yea homologation my ass ftb until i find a solution to bring that freaking stick back to original position. Yes ive driven first model waja and pretty impressed with the handling until that shit happened. Funny i almost forgot the incident until i found out last night the douchebag is still in the company. I think you might be more suited towards Japanese cars if you're that passionate about wiper/signal stick placement. |

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jun 9 2015, 08:26 PM) Any signs of before it failed? My Gen 2 would show signs before it failed. Alarm lock/unlock slow response, CD player forgets last played track, starting engine takes longer. This would normally happen 1 or 2 days before it actually fail thus giving enough time to get it replaced. Just wondering if the Suprima has similiar signs. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jun 10 2015, 08:06 AM) Anyway, yesterday I went to change the bulb for a second time (right eye this time), and still have to paid for RM 26.50 inc GST. What size bulbs does the Suprima use?Asked the owner why need to pay, because Proton already issue a replacement program for the bulb, but he said why got. Or am I mistaken? |

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Jun 16 2015, 11:54 PM) I am scratching my head on how to solve the high pitched whistling noise during braking. At every service interval I had asked the SC to check on this issue, all they did was 'Service Brakes' (went to 4 different SC's) and yet that very loud whistle is still present. Same boat as you. They always tell me they solved it, but after collecting the car the noise remains. Is there any outside shop that can fix this problem? |
