Has anyone ever experienced the car alarm randomly activating for a few second then going off?
Owned the car for about a year and a half. Has happened about twice now. The first was about 6 months ago and happened again this afternoon. Nobody was near the car or the key as I witness the second occurrence first hand.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Nov 16 2015, 09:57 PM) Is the front hood switch making false intrusion alarm? The display inside the car will show you which door triggered intrusion warning. Nope, but it is coming from the boot. I made sure i closed it well and it still happened. I guess I'll have to take it to the SC.

I have noticed that when I kept my SmartTag in the compartment below the keyslot/engine start button, the battery seems to drain very fast. Since changing the location of where I keep my SmartTag, I now once again get longer lifespan from my batteries.
Anyone else noticed something similar before? Any explanations?

QUOTE(zgerm @ Dec 7 2015, 11:08 AM) first time I heard this although I also put my smart tag there. Your SmartTag battery doesn't drain fast? Maybe mine might be an isolated problem. I have heard once before that the key battery recharges from the slot. Can't confirm this, but if it is true, that might explain it.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 8 2015, 08:18 PM) It is really the tyres. First upgrade tyres then brake pad. Got into a minor fender bender yesterday morning. Hit another suprima (mild damage to her car also) in a traffic jam. Was going so slow yet my brakes went soft and I couldn't even brake. Tires has been changed to asy2. So now I think I really have to do something with the brakes. Any recommendations on what is good? (Not looking for performance type, just something that doesn't go soft).

QUOTE(Doggystyle @ Dec 10 2015, 01:34 PM) Not to make fun of you...but man, whats the chance of an SS hitting another SS? Chances are small. We both laughed and felt that there is a higher probability of us winning the lottery. I have bled my brake lines multiple times at COSE. I am still not satisfied when compared to my previous car (Gen 2). This incident has really gotten me thinking if I should just void the warranty on the brakes and upgrade the pad.

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Dec 12 2015, 01:11 AM) Any photos of the accident? No pics. The damage was some light scratches to my bumper and my number plate broke. The other car had some minor scratches also.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 16 2015, 10:36 PM) Leave 2-3 car space in front. The stone chips will be reduced dramatically. Actually, the biggest culprit for stone chips are lorries. I travel on the kesas often and it get really bad when some of these lorries overtake on the right lane. All the sand and stones on the side gets swept up. You could be 10 cars behind on the middle lane and still hear the stones hitting the car.

Today was one of those days that I felt the need for speed. So when traffic opened up, I put the car in S mode and went for it. Took a couple of moderate corners and then one corner I attacked as hard as my bravery allowed. The TC light was on pretty much the entire part of the last corner I took. Then I said enough and was ready to engage back to D when I heard a very weird whiny sound, quite loud (Not the standard CVT sound). It lasted a good 4 to 5 seconds then went away. No warning lights, no smell, nothing. Just wondering if it has happened to anyone before.

QUOTE(khairilyazit @ Feb 27 2016, 08:47 PM) Have u replaced the oil cooler hose? Have it checked. Mine was like that before it decided to quit on me. No, not yet. My car is due for a 40k service first week of April. How often did the noise come on for your car? And was it only when you drove hard?

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Sep 13 2016, 08:04 AM) Not sure how this thing broke. Hardly touched it, and I certainly don't abuse the plastic bits in my car. . Now I dunno whether can claim warranty for this or not. Forced to tape it onto my steering wheel cause it can activate my wiper. Also, if anyone is interested the official size for our wipers should be 16"/24". I'm currently using piaa super sporza 24 and radix 16. Both same silicone but somehow super sporza is around 100 more. [attachmentid=7517493] [attachmentid=7517450] Edit: Was exiting from a car park in kota damansara yesterday and everything was fine until I hear something falling out. . Thanks for sharing the size, I am actually shopping around for new wipers. I had one shop that told me the suprima was 18"/24".

Anyone here feels like their brakes goes soft during slow driving such as in traffic jams?
My normal and high speed braking seems fine, but during traffic I find that my pedal becomes very soft and it can get dangerous.
Spoke to a mechanic and he said could be a problem with the brake pump since bleeding the lines didn't do anything to improve it. So I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced sometime like this before.
