I'm planning to buy the Zenfone 5 from DirectD (lLelong Malaysia)


The model is quoted as follows:

Asus Zenfone 5 -T00J(A501CG)-Original Set,Sealed Box.

It mentioned the RAM is 2GB. Is it correct?


And what Sim card size does the Zenfone 5 uses? Can my existing Micro-Sim fits or need to change sim card at telco?

This zenfone 4...how about battery life? Can last how long with moderate use?

for my zf4 with 1600mah battery, 12 hours between charge with 3 hours screen on time.
thats with my moderate usage ie whatsapp, flipboard, tapatalk, no game, wifi connected.
so if you're into zf4, powerbank is a must

No black screen.hard buttons i.e. Power and volume buttons no prob.can go to recovery mode.all done, even reset it already and clear cache.still the touch screen wont function.had to send to service centre back.lucky they can loan me a phone

I noticed got a button like tingy concelled on cover which i believe is a magnet to auto On/Off. Maybe urs isn't positioned correctly causing issues.

I think it's asking u to enter ur desired password. N after that u'll get to manage which apps would u like to lock.

If its the first time, it will ask about desired password and confirm password at the bottom of it. This one is definitely not, maybe someone had already put password there?

I'm not sure how to clear the password other than factory reset, maybe it has master password? but I doubt it.

The option to "clear data" for AppLocker is also not available. The option is "greyed" out, you can't click it.

is there a way to make the phone awake by swiping, instead of pressing the power button?

I got notice mine has 2 column to enter n re-enter p/w.
theres many stock apps need to explore.
Another apps i failed to use till now is 'what's next' app.
How la to insert anything in it.
Theres no option to add anything.

somebody should notify the OP to update on the root, xposed framework, the firmware update, and the what's next feature.

I dont expect it will sync with calendar app, cos i keep using Do It Later app instead.

Ok since am already own this zf for a week, n battery should 've break in properly i would like to assume zf5 battery life is good.. so heres the screenshot of the average on screen time i get..(data/wifi always on.)
