based on what ive read, it seems very much like the swiftech hsf.
its just that this is rounder, and wider in a sense.
this should outperform the swiftech one easy

Better than stock nb but not as good as those TR and Noctua i guess..My friend who is using DFI Lanparty Venus is complaining about the flower being too hot.But the temperature is still better than the stock DFI nb cooler...

Hi guys,
I'm using a DFI LP NF4 Ultra-d, and i'm not happy with what the stock DFI chipset cooler is doing.
I'm using a Galaxy 7300GT where 1 cm of my card is actually on the mobo's stock cooler.

I'm looking for a 3rd party cooler to do the job, and tight on budget, anything value for money which will fit my mobo to recommend?

Uglyvamp is organising a 8800GTS bulk now, why don't u pm him regarding the NB-400CU? smile.gif

It's better to wait for a week for the delivery from uglyvamp than waiting forever just to find someone's who's willing to sell that heatsink to you in here. sweat.gif

I agree with you on this. The evercool seems to be a good choice for DFI NF4 users. Its not that expensive as well and not to mention good performance..

The Zalman flower is ok but doesnt really work well..You can still feel the great amount of heat.

Thanx for the suggestion guys.
Seems the best choice will be the VC-RE/VC-RF since i'm tight on budget. I'd like the HR-05 SLI but just out of my budget.
@Shawty, can give special discount ar?

But i have another question here, will the VC-RF fit directly without any modding? Cz VC-RE is a vga/chipset cooler while VC-RF is only labelled as a vga cooler. Just curious.

Special discount aa?
Cannot la boss.. laugh.gif

Anyway, i don't think there should be any clearance problem fitting VC-RF on you're motherboard.

It should be a perfect fit. thumbup.gif

not quite as shiny

not to offend....

the zalman flower type(screwing fins together) seems shinier
maybe the viewing angle....

edit: shiny here is smooth.......

seems to look very good. but i think its performance will lose out to thermalright.
as for the base not being shinny, that isnt a very big factor, well not as far as im concerned coz the area of heat absoprtion is rather small
