Macro with 200mm above will lost sharpness due to too low depth of field.. I tried raynox on my 70-300 before.. Not very nice only.. Too shallow depth of field already..

QUOTE(bdrc @ Dec 3 2014, 06:42 PM) Anyone has experience with using macro adapter like Raynox? Is it better option to use that adapter on a 85mm prime, than using macro lens like sp90 or 100mm 2.8? Good macro lens has very flat focal plane and not suffer from edge distortion as you get closer to subject. If edge distortion is not really your issue then any prime lens can do the job with extension tubes, focusing bellows or helicoid tubes. Each has its own merit.. You will loose auto focus in most situation.. Most of the time autofocus is not really a requirement. The longer the focal length , the bigger a distance you can keep for the same magnification.. Most people prefer 100mm or there about.. |

i got raynox dcr 250 but quite tough to nail it on kit lens..
if u wanna use on 85mm then its going to be a whole lot tougher.. my vote goes to dedicated macro lens.. just my 5 cents.. QUOTE(bdrc @ Dec 3 2014, 01:42 PM) |

hey guys, need to check on the A99.
Last I used, I wasn't able to do timer + exposure bracket because the TIMER mode and BRACKET mode are set within the same action. It's the same issue like the person in the link below http://www.thephotoforum.com/threads/sony-...hdr-bkt.330332/ Just wondering if there are any (or is it possible) that firmware update that may have improved over the years. |

The bracketing mode does omit the usage of 2/10 second timer, so is the wireless controller function. The workaround in this is to use a wired controller to keep camera movement to the minimum. So technically, it's still doable. |

OK looks like indeed I can't use timer + bracket.
I encountered this 2 years ago when I took the A99 for assignment, to find out that I couldn't do timer + bracket. Still got my assignment done though, good thing the A99's shutter button was sensitive enough to be triggered without any wobbling. Problem with wired setup is that there are some conditions that wires won't help, for example UWA shot where you need time to move away from scene. In many situations, I need 2 - 10 seconds to get out of the way. Anyway, A99 is off my shopping list already. |

It's not from an Alpha but from a RM300 P&S. C&C are not welcomed Btw... Anyone knows how to turn on A6000 to review pictures without triggering the SELP1650 to extend? My RM300 P&S allows me to press the Playback button even when it's turned off just to review pictures. Any clue? |

Goldfries, there's actually programmable wired controllers that can set a delay as long as you want, (enough for you to run a full marathon and come back and still haven't time out #justsaying). Because I happen to have one.
