about 35mm, not exactly. because sel35f18 field of view is 52.5mm equivalent with full frame camera. thus DOF still shallow if the object still a bit closer

Dof and fov does not correlate that way. Though by general rule, any lens will have a shallower dof if subject is moved closer to camera.

Gonna share my pic which I'm rather proud with the results of editing. Don't bother pixel peeping, cause it's obviously Photoshopped, and I'm still not very good at editing.

The individual photos aren't all that impressive, IQ wise (blurry motion, high ISO, amateur photographer), but her poses were so nice, I had to do something to make it all worthwhile!

Taken using an A7 + LA-EA4 + Minolta APO 100-300

Comments and criticism are welcome.

I thought it was a 5 membered group dancing at 1st glance, that's before I noticed that they're the same face (unless they're quintuplets).

Good job!

Ryou

Is your camera shooting in aRGB or sRGB? It is best to use sRGB if you do not have the hardware for aRGB, simple as that.

Also see how it exaggerates the foreground subjects, and if used cleverly, there will be no curved horizon.

Waaaaa~ Just when I'm about to sell my SEL16F28 everyone racun with the fisheye adapter pulak..! cry.gif

Wanna ask a bit.

SEL35F18 vs SEL50F18.
Which one is better in terms of IQ?
Main concern is overall sharpness and purple fringing.

My first thought, 35mm is better for me as it's more compact and shorter focal length.
Yes it is a bit pricey compare to the 50mm, but the gap is not that big.

But if the 50mm's IQ is better overall, I'll go for the 50.

Your helps much appreciated.
Thank you. notworthy.gif

I'd advice you to choose base on the focal length instead of sharpness. See which focal length you would prefer first, it plays a more important role.

Simple advice, don't.

Not forgetting that stacking that many circular filters will definitely give some heavy vignetting.

And stacking polarisers well definitely give you odd color shifts.

You're better off with variable nd which gives about workable 9 stops. With an added square nd filter in front of it for further reduced stops. Then if you want IR cut, add another filter in front with caution as it could be too thick and cause vignette, which I generally don't recommend. By the way, most sensors already have IR filtering built into them inside the camera, so it's useless to add another one.

Stacking 2 polarisers (not to mention 3) will give you funky cross patterns similar to moiré. Same goes with stacking 2 VNDs.
